Hmm, tough question maybe Le Vampyre (1913) had some nudity, you could shoot anything you wanted back then. Even death at a battlesite...so on so forth.

That would be worth checking into to see if infact Le Vampyre was the 1st to have nudity.

ClassicHorror 01-29-2005 04:01 PM

Ya it would, you'd be amazed by some of the things in film history that were firsts.

Gojira 01-29-2005 07:48 PM

Classic I am always amazed at what movies came first in horror 1st Vampire movie 1st Werewolf movie 1st Mummy movie etc. And more often than not the movie you thought was the 1st wasnt.

ClassicHorror 01-30-2005 01:56 PM

Yup, that first cartoon was made in 1892-93 can you believe that??? Thats pretty amazing.

Gojira 01-30-2005 06:50 PM

Just a wild guess classic but was the 1st cartoon a cartoon about a Dinosarur? I know the 1st Dinosaur movie was made back in 1915 titled The Dinosaur and the Missing Link. The movie was made by Willis O Brian. Warner Brothers bought the film from OBrian then hired him to help make The Lost World in 1925.

Hammer Horror

Hammer was got me into horror when I was about six years old and my Dad used to let me stay up and watch the Friday night horror movie on TV every week. Films like Dracula and The Devil Rides Out had such an impact on me that I've been a fan ever since, I'm now 37. Although watching the old Hammer films now doesn't have the same effect as it used to I will always have great memories of the excitement and anticipation of watching Hammer films from a small boy and into my teens. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee are genuine movie legends and Hammer gave me my first sexual fantasy when watching Vampire Lovers for the first time. Ingrid Pitt to a fast developing 11 year old was truly amazing! There are too many great films to try and pick an all time favourite but apart from the ones Ihave already mentioned, other titles to leave a lasting impression on me are Taste The Blood Of Dracula and Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter. It's just a shame that there is nothing like Hammer in the modern day movie world today.

Hi LeeChallenger when did you see the Devil Rides Out on tv when you were a kid? I know your 37 years old and The Devil Rides Out a 1968 Hammer horror movie never came to theatres here in the USA. I only saw the Devil Rides Out on Tv just a few months ago on Turner Classic Movies. I was vey impressed by the movie and I think its far better than the Exorcist and the Omen combined. The Hammer movie that got me turned on was 1Million years BC with Raquel Welch oh yeah!! I saw that movie at the Drive in 1966 I was into Dinosaurs and my parents took me to see that.

"The Devil Rides Out" was hurt by the AWFUL effects though, esp that superimposed spider obviously climbing up a bit of glass!

There are a few things I really enjoyed about the Devil Rides Out one was the scene with the Devil. I liked how the Devil had a goat head that really looked wicked cool.
