The problem with a freddy prequel is they'd have to muck with what has always been established. He killed CHILDREN, like, 10 year olds. There is no way in hell any ratings board would pass a film with graphic child murder in. It would all have to be implied, and the murders will probably end up like in the beginning of Freddy vs Jason, all implied.
As for the molestation subject, its pretty much known he lusted after kids, from the tongue phone all the way up to feeling under lori's skirt.
The only reason he murdered teens in his afterlife was because he was making the adults pay for murdering him.

I guess I was wrong I just got freddys nightmares the series on dvd and on the episode its my party and youll die if I want you to ....A girl the ditched freddy for the prom...says he molested and killed 12 childeren ........

The thought of a proper Freddy sequel is just too good to be true . Wes Craven would be an alright idea, but im scared it might be a lot like some of his newer movies. They need to make it REALLY scary and brutal.
