Yeah I got it by getting a certain ending.I don't know if the PS3 version had it or not but the 360 version had 5 different endings you could get and they each gave you something different like a costume or a laser pistol, which makes hard mode a cake walk.

You have to not kill Alex's mother, don't forgive his father and save Wheeler.

Then start a new game on that save and you will find it in Alex's room in his house.Oh and it has unlimited ammo.

cheebacheeba 05-12-2009 05:56 PM

Downloaded some "classic shooters" pack someone had thrown together.
Been playing Doom...I think it's doom 1 with all the expansions, called "Ultimate Doom".
It looks old even higher resolutions look...ech...but I still enjoy playing it.
On there I got duke 3d, doom 2 and the plutonia experiment? rise of the triad, something called strife, wolfenstein with 3 installments of spear of destiny, shadow warrior, heretic and hexen.

Haven't ever played the last two.
Duke 3d, the one I thought I'd like to play most again just seems boring now, I must have hammered that game so much back in the day.

Been playing GTA III... my computer only runs the older stuff. Love this game slowing ripping thru it.

cheebacheeba 05-18-2009 03:51 AM

Classic 3D Shooters MEGA PACK
if you wanna get into that stuff again.
Tiny, zipped download, lots of stuff on there.

Loved Heretic and Hexen but they were not in the Wolf 3D series (although I think Hexen WAS a sequel to Heretic). Just first person shooters with some magic mixed in, badass games. I've never played the Plutonia Experiment but have played all those other game and LOVED Rise of the Triad, I remember the gore and flying eyeballs heh. If you want to try another early FPS game check out Blakestone (it had a subtitle but I forget what it was), cool game.

try Heretic, damn fun doom clone.

cheebacheeba 05-19-2009 11:35 PM

That's the first of the two right?

Elvis_Christ 05-20-2009 03:10 AM

Wouldn't mind getting a copy of Quake, the ones I downloaded recently were fucked up.

cheebacheeba 05-20-2009 04:50 PM

Yeah, had a lot of fun with Quake 1.
I was a bit dissapointed when q2 was this totally different story, though it really grew on me, great, challenging shooter that was.

Q3...wasnt even a game.
I've yet to play #4 which is a sequel to 2 as I understand it.

Despare 05-20-2009 06:36 PM

Can't wait for XBox Live Arcade to get Wolf 3D and Quake Arena Arcade.

newb 05-20-2009 06:41 PM

Quake 3 was the best of the pack , i think, meant specifically for online though. Quake 4 is a bad doom 3 clone.

For online I can see how it would be...but for me, I'll say it again, if a game can't hold it's own without being played online, there's a serious lack of effort there. There IS a single player mode I know, but it just plays like a watered down online match anyways. That said, I think for games of this sort the UT series (or even just the first one vs Q3) did it better.

That's a bit of a bitch to hear...I didn't even like Doom 3.
Ah well...I suppose it's cheap enough now to check out.

So I started on two games.
GTA: Liberty City Stories which I'm sharing with the girl.
and King Kong.

Liberty City is just run of the mill, even though it's a port of a PSP game it comes off as WAY more polished than GTA3 ever looked...kind of works like a side story/different character & missions to GTA3, the place looks the same.
It's fun...though I don't really like the selection of music on this one, as I can recall the next spin-off to come out was much better.

King Kong.
I'll start off by saying I didn't think all that much of the movie...it slightly exceeded my expectations but really just not my thing. I'll also say that I've thus far played as both the human and Gorilla - I HATE playing as the gorilla...while the swinging off trees is kind've cool, the climbing is tedious and the combat is pathetic.
The human mission though, quite the opposite.
It's not really an FPS though that's how it presents itself.
Once you get the hang of the buttons, and the feel of the game which at first just seemed weird, it's actually very good...love spearing things, ha...the limited ammo is great as it gives you a real "survival" type vibe, the atmosphere is
really well done and always keeps me on the edge of my seat. It's actually a pretty innovative game (in this part) with few faults.
My only real problem with it, is that it's a bit difficult/easy to die...I've died a lot.
But I'll be playing this one to conclusion if I can.

I'd really love to see this game on a high end pc - you can tell that it's just a BIT too powerful for the Playstation 2 to do as well as it could at the time of its release.

Vice City Stories is a real good one, check that out if you get the chance.

cheebacheeba 05-26-2009 06:40 PM

Oh yeah, I've got it and have played through it before...agreed it's definately the better of the two - I loaned it to my brother for aaaages, then got both of 'em back, lent VCS to a friend while I played some other stuff.

Angra 05-29-2009 09:12 AM

The_Return 06-06-2009 06:23 PM

Been wasting time playing Audiosurf on Steam.

Really simple, fun little game.

The Mothman 06-10-2009 02:13 PM

Shadow of The Colossus
really a pretty cool game, the first 3 enemies you encounter are massive, the most fun by far, but the rest pale in comparison.
