But with stories of actual ignorance I heard, and people uploading other's blunders, I wasn't going to discount authenticity just for stupidity. I consider myself pretty good at picking out fakes. I think it was really well done (as a fake) and well acted.

If I were prompted to look for authenticity, I likely would have noticed some defects. One, the couch and coffee table are too close for the door to open all the way. That's a give away. Although there's certainly an optical illusion there. Another thing is, the alcohol doesn't seem to have a genuine label. Also, the glass coffee table seemed to lack proper structural resistance. And the sound of the breaking glass table didn't sound right -- the timber was much too delicate and high pitched. The "PC-Mic pickup" sound indeed helps hide that.

Anybody see anything other credibility problems?

i'm at the point where i don't believe anything i see anymore.
Not that this was the case this time - but people crave internet notoriety so desperately that almost everything you see is staged/canned ...

honestly - the only exposure I have to Justin Bieber is listening to people complain about him..

same as the kardashians, and every other pop culture phenomenon that THE PUBLIC made possible.

As usual - the anger has been thrown in the wrong direction :)

my biggest problem is that it even makes news

They interrupted a discussion about NSA regulations and the reach of their power to go to the little twit being arrested.

I blame Canada...

just giving the people what they want ..

it's always 'the people' - they are the enablers ...

I never hear about when some guy 3 streets over does something stupid .. because no one is interested ...

Norn MacDonald - to me - the funniest man in the world.
Found this 2 hour long compilation of his talk show appearances - and the very last 10 min or so is his stand up - my favourite stand-up routine of all time, bar none.

I know there are more 'clever' guys - but this guy is so weird and unique - I completely get his deal..
