Evil Dead leads 3-2 over Pet Sematary!

Can Stephen King's macabre narrative make a comeback?
or will Raimi's brilliance prove to be too much?

Evil Dead, without a doubt.

Errrr.....

Pet Semetary

I just dont think of Evil Dead as a zombie film. (Not that I really think of Pet Semetary as one either really, but after some thought I had to give it the edge.)

P.S. The Serpent & The Rainbow wasn't in this tourney, was it?

Technically, the "walking dead" and "coming back from dead" are included in this category, hence ED, ED2 & Pet Sematary are in this tourney (but not Demons series, 28 Days Later etc.)

I had shortlisted it, but I dont think many have seen the movie, so I went for the more popular and finalised the list of 32.

Evil Dead leads 6-4 over Pet Sematary!

Next vote in favor will seal the win...or can Pet Sematary make a comeback?

Ah snubbed! I bet you'd be surprised how many people here have seen that magnificent piece of work. It is Craven after all...

No biggie though. Those aren't the traditional zombies either.

That was the reason why I didnt include Demons and 28 Days Later. But ED and ED2 are basically included in the demons-possessed category also. I referred to a lot of sources for ED and ED2, and found them shortlisted in every zombie movie list I read, ergo they are in the tourney.

And the Serpent and the Rainbow is an awesome movie. If it was in the tourney and many have seen it, then it would have gone to the semi finals at least I bet...glaring omission by me then. Maybe in the next zombie tourney.:D

Evil Dead still leads 6-4 over Pet Sematary...

need 1 more vote in favor to seal the win...

In both films the dead rise due to possession, so I think the edge should be given to the better film which is Evil Dead.
