Ash in freddy VS Jason 2 would totally suck! I read somewhere on a website (by the way the website sucked so it can't be true) I person said Freddy Will bring Pinhead 2 life then some how Jason will find Michael Myers and it will be 2 on 2! I think that would be great, but we know that that won't come true! AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS SOMETHING I DIDNT MAKE THAT UP I READ IT ON A WEBSITE! :)

crazyclown, I'm afraid if you want to find out where EXACTLY R.Y said Ash was confirmed "if there is a sequel", you'll have to do what I did to find out the info, look for keywords "yu, freddy vs jason sequel, casting....etc", I'm afraid I don't keep records of every single upcoming horror movie site I have ever been to, as the list would be somewhere at least over 50. Anyways, I don't make it a habit to spread bullshit info...I'm sure if you have a good look (if you wanna spare the time), you'll find the very interview I speak of.

Freddy vs Jason was a good movie if you are a fan of the those movies... I thought it was a good idea and it had an ok plot... I thought the best part of the movie was the fight sceens... As far as putting Ash or any other movie Icon in this movie, it would completely ruin the story line.... I think it they do make another movie it is going to have to have a better/stronger Story line than the first...

Yeah, I heard about some ED type stuff being in Jason goes to Hell, but I havent seen it in quiet some time,I shall have to check it out more closely next time...
Some people might think that what I'm about to say is rather obvious; I think that if the title is Freddy vs Jason 2, it's probably some kind of indication that Freddy WILL be in it, don't you think?
I just don't understand all of this "boycott" talk....all you'd end up doing is missing a movie YOU KNOW you'd wanna see, regardless of any additions to the cast.
Personally, I welcome such changes, you know, that's how they actually make sequels, yknow, AT ALL DIFFERENT from the first films...and hey, if they added Ash, I think it's safe to say that they'd also be throwing a handfull of flesh-ripping-deadite-zombies in the mix (and who doesn't wanna see those original-type ED1 and ED2 guys again?!?), maybe get Jason and/or Freddy posessed and "souped up" at the same time, the whole "Necronomicon" thing could be taken advantage of HUGELY (Fistfull of Boomstick anyone?), thus enabling the sequel to be DIFFERENT from the first, while giving the obvious underdog potential advantages.
Shit, I even threw together a 'lil F vs J vs ED storyline that I think could work, just as an example, it's a few posts back on this thread if you wanna have a look...
I'm all for seeing a non-videogame Ash again, you know, being as it is that I have only seen him in 3 films, as opposed to 10+ like the other two, and no, this isn't me saying that I don't like F or J, I just don't wanna see a good character dissapear into obscurity just yet, nor will, I believe, the many other Evil Dead fans.

i read that whoever the addition to the cast in fvj 2 would be on freddy's side. so it would be freddy and ash v. jason.

I think Ash should be left out of the sequel because obviously he will make quick work out of both Freddy and Jason. Throw Mike Myers in there too, Ash will still annihilate them all.

And about the ending to the FvJ, the reason why Freddy is able to wink is because they are both in hell now. Therefore, Freddy has powers there.

hahah Ash is not your typical teenage moron that is in horror movies. He is the bane of all supernatural horror, humanity's salvation against the Hellspawn. This will be shown by the fact that he will never run from Jason or Freddy, he will stand his ground and fight. And fight well he will. This in and of itself should be enough to throw off the monsters and confuse them.

If you ask me, the moronic, shit talking guy with one hand missing, a shotgun and a chainsaw can take out anything you throw at him. Don't believe me? Keep an eye out for the next Phantasm movie, and watch Ash kill Tall Man (yes, its already been decided).

And this is the number one reason why he'd get his ass whooped.

In a fight between freddy, jason,and ash, jason would definitely have the advantage because nothing could kill him. think about it, no matter how many times ash slices him with his chainsaw, no matter how much freddy stabs him with his claws, he simply will not die. by the way, ash rules

why would there be another charcter? Robert said there will be a sequel on the Daily Show with John Stewart. He whispered it into john's ear but you could hear it. he was on there before the first one.

Ash would have no chance, Jason would fuck him up, and so would Freddy. So basically in the end, it would just be down to Freddy and Jason again.

And there are never plans for sequals before a movies release, because they have to see what money they make out of it. So I highly doubt Robert knew anything of a sequal.

Please. If Nerdy McNerderson can slow Freddy down at all, Ash can hold his own long enough to get away.
