Unless people start saying this is much worse than the second one, I'll be watching it. I LOVE the Creeper.:D

The_Return 08-12-2011 05:34 AM

I've loved both entries so far, been looking forward to this one for ages.

The first one was easily one of the best mainstream horrors of the 2000's, and even though the second one wasn't anywhere near as atmospheric or cool, I still thought it was a hell of a lot of fun. Maybe a little silly, but still enjoyable.

Hopefully #3 takes things back to the level of this first, but honestly I'm just excited to see the Creeper again. Can't wait.

^^ Agree 100% with Return.

Little more apprehensive about that...lets be honest here, most horror TV shows kinda suck. Plus, as much as I love the character and want to know more about his mythology and everything, not knowing is a big part of the fun.

Its been discussed here a million times, but slasher type characters tend to get less interesting as the films reveal more and more about them. Another movie, I'm 100% in favor of. Salva's done a great job keeping us in the dark about the Creeper's origins so far, and I'm sure he'll keep it up. But a TV series? I worry that it'd get out of hand really fast.

But really, its probably not even worth discussing...they've been almost 10 years trying to get the 3rd movie off the ground. Whether its a good idea or not, do you really think the TV show will ever hit the airwaves? I can't see it.

i totally agree with u there, tv will ruin the movies.the creeper was better not knowing his past.but i think the movies would have been better if we did not know what he was alltogether, when it was revealed he was a monster it put me off a bit. would have been better keeping him in the shadows.

I liked both movies but for different reasons-I'd much rather a third film was made instead of remaking the first which I'm sure was considered.

Rela1024 08-28-2011 03:38 PM

I agree tv show wouldnt work but a 3rd installment just might but a remake??.....no not if theyre gonna make up a back story
some characters dont need a story I like that I dont know what he really is (a bat person thing with wings?? idk if it was mentioned i missed it) but the not knowing makes him mysterious which makes him creepy

It's a monster. Why does it really need to be explained further?

Rela1024 08-28-2011 04:39 PM

it doesnt and thats probably the trouble theyre having with getting it off the ground

Why is that a problem though? There are tons of monster movies out there where the monsters are just that, monsters. Why do they need to be so specifically categorized so people can enjoy it. The problem the movies are having is that the second one was a let down and the beginning of the first one was so good that the rest of it just seemed disappointing.

leezuki 08-29-2011 06:29 AM

that's y i think they ruined michael myers, going into detail what was wrong with him and and all the mental hospital crap and blah blah, some things are just best left to your own imagination. i thought the second jeepers was ok, the fist half of the first one was good up until he had to become a monster, the movie was creepy up until that point, then i drifted away from the movie because it became to much of a monster show for me.

hammerfan 04-03-2012 10:07 AM

I just watched a video on YouTube for this. Grown-up Trish Jenner (portrayed by the same actress from the first movie) and her teenage son, Darry, fighting the Creeper.

I'm actually looking forward to this!

Oh, and, I really suck at trying to post videos here, so sorry for no video.

That's the best I can do, sorry.

hammerfan 04-03-2012 11:16 AM

Thank you, Avi. And, I apologize, I looked to see if there was a thread already and didn't see one. Guess I need new glasses! :o

I liked the first one....didn't hate the second one. So I'll be watching the 3rd one.

But I won't watch the trailer....the damn thing is over 6 minutes long.....sure to be spoilers galore.

Actually the trailer is only 2 minutes long.
It starts replaying, or there's an alternate trailer after it.
Not too many spoilers at all.

Do they let this guy direct kids now?

wizard of gore 04-04-2012 10:52 AM

thought it was fuckin cool that he turned out to be a monster, not enough good monster movies these days.i reckon the movie has potential to be awsome.been awhile since 2 ,surley reviews and stuf would have inspired them to relate the movie closer to 1,and that two was taking it in the wrong direction

crazy raplh 04-07-2012 05:35 AM

It throws off the time line. I thought the farmer kept the creeper for 30 years like the end of part 2 or what ever. he must have let him go. I dont know.
