THE FIRST BATTLE ROYALE BLOODBATH I am here to address The Zombie Warriors. You all have been led into THE BLOODBATH CHAMBER. Warriors, welcome to the first ever Battle Royale BLOODBATH. This is like sudden death, only with a bit more gory, black humor fun. Right now, you all are standing in THE BLOODBATH CHAMBER, in a circle, all EIGHT of you facing each other. There are THREE boxes in front of you - marked A, B and C. What you have to do, is NOMINATE THREE TEAM MEMBERS from your team and CHOOSE THE BOXES they will proceed to open. Like for example - nominate Ferretchucker to open Box A. What is inside them will remain a secret till I receive a PM from you. That's right - ONLY A SINGLE PM from your team, possibly from your chosen Team Leader. Quickly confer amongst yourselves and send me a PM before MIDNIGHT EST tonight with your collective choice of THREE team members, and the boxes they are chosen to open. THE FIRST BATTLE ROYALE BLOODBATH - OUTCOME I am here to address The Zombie Warriors. You all are locked inside THE BLOODBATH CHAMBER. Right now, you all are standing locked in THE BLOODBATH CHAMBER, in a circle, all EIGHT of you facing each other. There are THREE boxes in front of you - marked A, B and C. Your team has made their choices, and here we go :- The first choice is...CHRONOGRL! *sound of snapping fingers* *the locks on Chrono's arms and legs slide back and she is freed* Chronogrl proceeds slowly towards the center of the chamber. She looks at all three boxes intently, then turns towards Box A. Slowly, she opens it and peers in, anxiety all over her countenance. A piece of paper is revealed inside the box! She picks it up and reads it slowly. A voice booms through the hidden speakers - "PLEASE READ IT LOUDLY!" Chrono is startled for an instant, but she recovers and speaks, looking at the paper. "Go to your right and place your right hand inside the hole on the right wall." She looks up at her teammates, puzzled. A loud buzz on her right diverts her attention, as a big gaping hole slides out from the center of the wall. Chrono looks at it and gulps once. Zero speaks slowly, "Go on Chrono. I am sure there's nothing to be afraid of." Chrono nods nervously and moves towards the right wall. She stands in front of the hole and looks back at her teammates, then at her rising right hand with fear. Trembling between long breaths, she slowly pushes her right hand into the hole. She feels something solid inside it. She wraps her hands around it and pulls it out. It's a small, white plastic ball. On one side is written, in bold letters - AXE! She takes a long breath, and hears the swish at the very last moment. SCRUNCHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! The axe thuds dully into her shoulder, and she rolls down the floor screaming! Squirts of blood gush out through her bloody red gaping wound, and flow towards the rest of her teammates, who gulp and yell audibly. The entrance door opens, and a medic runs to her holding a Health Pack. He gets down and slowly patches up the yelping and sobbing Chrono. The second choice is...FRIDAY13THFAN! |

*the locks on F13F's arms and legs slide back and he is freed* F13F is visibly shaken. He takes a long look at the sobbing and bleeding Chronogrl as he slowly walks over to the boxes. One peek at the open Box A, then he lets out a deep sigh before opening Box B. Another piece of paper inside! F13F lifts it up and reads it slowly. "Put your left hand, fingers open, on the table on the left," his voice sounds distant and shaky. He looks at the left and spots the old, rusty table. He looks around at Chrono again, then at Ferret and Zero in turn. Both look ashen white. He proceeds to the left towards the table and spreads the fingers of his left hand on it. There is a very slight murmur in the air, like a very soft draft of a breeze. F13F's scream fills the room. He looks at his left hand and screams again. Three of the fingers have been cleanly cut off, right at the base of their origination from the hand. All three severed fingers lie shaking and twitching on the table, small gushes of blood spraying out of each of them. F13F cries out loudly, shaking the table with a big jolt, and all 3 severed fingers roll down the table and fall to the floor in soft, audible clatters. The entrance door opens and a medic hurries to him too, holding a Health Pack. The third choice is...BLOODY RIBCUT! |

*the locks on Bloody Ribcut's arms and legs slide back and he is freed* Bloody Ribcut rubs his arms with his hands. Licking his lips nervously, he walks forward to the unopened box on the table. A cursory glance at the two open boxes later, he takes a slow breath and opens the third box. A medium-sized red button is placed in the center of the box. On one side is inscribed in bright, golden letters "PUSH ME". Bloody Ribcut hesitates. He looks towards Chrono and F13F in turns, and then towards Ferret directly. "I won't do it," he says firmly, his voice cracking. The voice booms again. "If you don't, all of you will be shot once by the Snipers!" Dude yells, "For god's sakes, man! Just push the damn button!" Ferret nods. "You still don't know if anything would happen or not happen, Ribcut. Do it!" Bloody Ribcut shakes his head. "Nope, I won't!" "If you don't, you are gonna get shot anyway. Just like the rest of us. Look at Chrono and F13F, are they in any condition to get shot after that?" Jenna implores. "Just think about the team first, dammit," Saytan says between clenched teeth, perspiring heavily. "Okay, okay dammit. What the fuck ever!" Ribcut bellows and rams on the red button. A loud slicing sound comes from under the table, and Ribcut falls down like a pack of cards, screaming his lungs off. The others stare at him, and Jenna screams hysterically. Ferret closes his eyes, as Zero shakes his head in disbelief. Ribcut's right leg has been neatly sliced out from the rest of his body, severed exactly at the knee. Big sprays of blood pound out from the open, gaping wound, where about two minutes back, there had been a whole and complete right leg. He yells and cries out again and again, as the entrance door opens and a medic runs to him with a wheelchair and some cotton to stop the excessive bleeding. The voice booms over the chamber,"You all may now proceed back to your bunkers. This was just a small demonstration of what the Bloodbath Chamber is capable of. You will see bigger and better things as you proceed in the Battle Royale." *sound of snapping fingers* *the locks on the rest of the team's arms and legs slide back and they are freed* Sorry Zombie Warriors, looks like the Bloodbath Chamber left you a bit...cut up, shall we say? You have less than 24 hours to heal up before the next Challenge is posted. Two of the three selected members have used up a Health Pack each, which they had won in the First Challenge, and so shall be deducted from their winnings. Bloody Ribcut hasn't won any Health Packs, so his status will be reduced to BLEEDING. |

SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT!
I am here to address the Slice 'N' Dicers team. One of your prominent team-members, Alkytrio666, has been found in a near-death condition near your compound. Multiple stab wounds were dotted all over his back! He has been rushed to the BR Medic Chamber, but right now he is not responding to his treatment. A careful analysis of the place where Alky was found, has revealed 3 items of considerable interest - a page torn out from the book Faust, a torn piece of paper with a rough database drawn on it, and some thick red hairs. They have been sent to the lab for detailed analysis. Pray that Alky recovers, at least in time for Challenge #2. Or this could become a big problem for you. |

Since Alky is not responding to his treatment (and its very unlikely that he will be continuing his participation), and I have no new confirmations from any other HDC member, the Slice 'N' Dicers team is free to canvass for a freelance participant who can take over Alky's position in their team. Go ahead, and see if you can find a suitable replacement. If I get a confirmation in the meantime, too good. He will be immediately drafted in to take over Alky's place. |

There are 240 points up for grabs in the above challenge. The deadline for sending your entries ends on Saturday, 24th April at 12 Noon EST. You may either send me your entries via PMs, or you may email me at [email protected], mentioning your HDC Nick in the Subject alongwith the Challenge number, for e.g., "__V__ - HDC Battle Royale III Challenge #2 Answers." You may confer within members of your own team in your quest for the right answers, but each Battle Royale participant should send in their own individual entries. In case your team fails in this Challenge, you all will be let into the Hunting Zone ARMED with an AXE each. You will then be ordered to track down and choose ONE of YOUR OWN TEAM as a target for your hacking blows. (That is, you all will send me a PM or email telling me which team member OF YOUR OWN TEAM you have chosen to hack with your axes.) 5 hacks will kill a person. Ergo, the contestant who receives 5 hacks will die, and so be OUT of HDC Battle Royale III. All the best in surviving this Challenge! |
SIX entries have burned the wires on their way to me within the first couple hours of posting the 2nd Challenge!
Looks like this one will end on a really close finish... In a bit of a sad (and expected) news, Alky has not regained consciousness yet. Although not comatose, his condition has been diagnosed as very critical and in need of emergency specialist attention. Right now, he is being flown back to the mainland for ICU treatment. Sorry SnDs, looks like you will finally need yet another replacement, after all. Good luck finding one before the deadline expires for this Challenge. |
It is indeed disappointing to lose contestants this way. First Caenxavier, then Newb and now Alkytrio666.
Good to see two replacement warriors come forward in their places. Find a third one soon, apprentice, or you will lose a hand too! I will permit someone to replace Alkytrio666 within the deadline put down for the Second Challenge. After that, all the teams will be final and all team-members shall be binding. How you handle them will be upto you, apprentice. Do not disappoint me. Again. |
