I am filling in my nominees right now...and I have one doubt regarding the above category.

What about Italian horror? Doesnt it deserve an award of its own?

tic 10-05-2007 09:12 AM

Interesting point. - I was assuming people would have put that in the Europe section.

The reason I broke up the others was:

At first I was thinking of simply the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, this then became US & Canada as one section, Europe, Asia and Australia.

From the above I couldn't think of a Canadian Horror Film, so presumed that the US votes would swamp this category as its probably the biggest, ie Canada wouldn't have a mention. The same goes for Australia & New Zealand.

This was also why I added the UK as well as Europe, as I think British Horror was worthy of its own section. I can only think of a small number of European Films, two are I think Russian, two or three Spanish, a couple of French ones and the rest all are Italian.

An Italian Horror film against a British one just doesn't bare thinking about, but it is a very fair point and is making me wonder right now. - thanx :(

Who knows perhaps next year "ha ....... ha........ ha ........ not".

Does that answer your query or have I went off on a completely different direction?

_____V_____ 10-05-2007 09:23 AM

European makes sense.

Just sent in my list, presuming that Italian horror was a part of European horror.;)

Kudos!

tic 10-05-2007 09:25 AM

@ ____V____ got'em

The vote will definitely need Judges.

But there are also certain categories that have a clear leader. (especially now!)

_____V_____ 10-05-2007 09:40 AM

(raising one hand) I ll help, by being a judge.:)

Bored Already?

lucky number 7, considering its not even a week since the vote was opened I think that's not too bad - I have received some messages showing there is a great deal of deliberation* regarding the categories.

I'll give a general hint tomorrow of the standings.

*and I've swallowed a dictionary re:deliberation

ferretchucker 10-05-2007 01:22 PM

hint now! HINT NOW!

ok just for you

Several categories have a clear leader. This does NOT include the Best Horror Film Ever.

The first hint is free, next one'll cost ya!

He should definately clean up writer and director. I'm not sure if he produced those ridiculous waste of time, but if he did that's 3 he should run away with. I'm talking Jesse Owens, Secretariat run away.

ferretchucker 10-06-2007 02:39 AM

I think some catgories are clear definetely. There are certain directors and actors which can't escape it.

Hey Rod, i have been in & out over the last few months, i've taken on a second job so i don't have the time to spend all night every night here like i did before but i am making some time to get here more often :)

P.S. i've missed you all too :D

ferretchucker 10-06-2007 08:58 AM

we missed you too. What's this new job that so obviously hates horror.com enough to take you away from us.

tic 10-07-2007 08:45 AM

I was going to give some info yesterday, but got a bit tied up with a few things.

Anyway:

There are clear leaders for the following, Best Character (bets are off now, think this is a cert), Soundtrack (again probably a cert) and *Destroying Horror ( a definite cert)

The rest are pretty close.

* God do you NOT like this guy!

GorePhobia 10-07-2007 09:50 AM

I already know who won Destroying Horror :)

tic 10-07-2007 10:28 AM

I think everybody knows who's destroying horror. ;)

There's a tie for both the best horror ever and best remake.

GorePhobia 10-07-2007 10:30 AM

Awesome.

Everyone make sure you vote!

Please Note:

The "news/hints" are based upon the answers from ALL who have sent in replies.

The actual Winners and/or Losers for each category will depend on the Judges vote.

ferretchucker 10-09-2007 06:58 AM

mwahahahahah! You non judges wait, I'll crush your opinions. Should us judges use msn to confer?

tic 10-09-2007 08:07 AM

That's between you and the judges - I personally don't use msn but can if I wish.

p.s.

*Don't mind Eliza she's just practicing her dance routine for Oscars night.*

Disease 10-09-2007 08:31 AM

Wait, I'm a judge am I not?

I don't use msn... I could hook it up though... maybe we should...

I will enter my votes soon..

tic 10-09-2007 08:33 AM

Yes you are indeed a Judge.

jenna26 10-09-2007 08:35 AM

I'm a judge as well right? I have MSN, and nothing else......but I guess I could set up Yahoo, if not many other people have MSN.

tic 10-09-2007 08:38 AM

@ Jen, Yep (everyone on the list is a Judge)

the_real_linda 10-09-2007 08:41 AM

tic 10-09-2007 08:44 AM
