Hush you. I have a cupboard full of booze, no parents in. It's ferret's time.

Disease 09-26-2007 08:54 AM

Did some shopping this afternoon, I picked up a Halloween pumpkin and some ales to try along with the groceries...

Here is the first one I'm drinking, you might know it. It's smooth and not much after taste.... a good one to begin with.

AUSTIN316426808 09-26-2007 07:52 PM

It was originally just going to be a couple but I just took a case of Sam Addams out of the fridge.

It's all Rayne's fault, I hate insightful people.

My favorite seasonal beer

AUSTIN316426808 09-26-2007 08:01 PM

Have you ever tried the ''Summer Ale'' I think it's called? That's the only one I don't like all that much.

I've never tried cherry wheat, mainly because it's called cherry wheat. Other than those two it's all good.

I wouldn't have tried it but it came in a mixed 12 pack. And when it comes to beer my motto is much like Delta Force....No Beer shal be left behind.

ferretchucker 09-27-2007 06:39 AM

Isn't it technically called Oktober fest. With a K?

Disease 09-27-2007 09:26 AM

Disease 09-27-2007 10:20 AM

I haven't tried it, picked it up yesterday but it didn't make it to the final cut of 4 for 5 quid.. it's on the list though...

Do you recomend it?

Agreed about the cherry wheat......I tried that once.
Admittedly, I don't care for beer. Some of the other Samuel Adams beer I have had isn't terrible though. Beer will just never be my first choice.

I'm not a beer expert but it's worth trying, a sort of earthy taste.

Disease 09-27-2007 10:39 AM

Well I'm not an expert either, but I do like beer, and you don't get many ales back home and they are my favorite type. so I'm pretty much attempting to try as many as I can at the moment.

ferretchucker 09-27-2007 01:04 PM

but the german spelling for october is oktober. Maybe it was changed to a c FOR THE ENGLISH SPEAKING MARKET.

missmacabre 09-27-2007 02:48 PM

I got this pomegranate cranberry pop that I'm dying to mix with something. Probably vodka but does anyone have any better suggestions for what to mix it with?

the_man_you_fear 09-27-2007 02:49 PM

anything clear

Disease 09-27-2007 02:49 PM

gin, mix it with gin... I'm having a gin and tonic.

missmacabre 09-27-2007 02:58 PM

I honestly don't think i've ever had gin.

Well I reccomend Bombay Saphire if you can get it, just make sure you don't fall down the stairs... but if you do, make sure you don't spill a drop...;)

I used to get it from an Asian grocer back home, I can't remember the brand.. but I liked it, it is similar to creamy soda, slightly.

I'll have another glass of wine, see how far I get then a little sleep I think...

AUSTIN316426808 09-28-2007 03:53 PM

I usually don't drink before work but I'm nervous and my head feels like it's going to explode, so I just had a glass of straight vodka.
