I second that. S&Man is great (although sort of a mockumentary, since it's laced with a fictional plot as well. Or is it... ;)).

There's also a very analytical doc called The Perverts Guide to Cinema. I only made it about a quarter of the way through though. Am sure it's very clever and interesting if you can understand the guy properly, but it all went over my head (and also his accent is a little difficult to follow sometimes!). Still, some well-made scenes, and Slavoj Zizek is certainly very passionate in his analysis.

I do also have Midnight Movies: From the Margin to Mainstream which I am about to watch thanks to being reminded of it by this thread!

I watched a decent one on halloween morning called Zombiemania. If you are a Romero fan you will dig it, the whole doc is like one big George A Romero ass kiss, lol!

Another high recommendation for this one. Very informative and well put-together.

OMG it was astounding you were completely right as well as showing clips from most of the video nasties it is extremely in depth and surprisingly profound towards the end. It confirmed a lot of what I suspected about the real reasons behind the whole video nasty hooha. Also in the version you saw did it have Emily Booth being attacked by videotape or did the horror channel sneakily include it themselves in the version they shown. The horror channel is notorious for its occasional acts of subversion like when they advertised The Incredible Melting Man "in amazing 2D! and gave "Street Trash" a PG rating!

Haha, that's awesome. Yeah, that bit with Emily Booth getting attacked is on the DVD menu.

Yeah, it is quite profound, especially considering it in the context of other "witch hunt" manias throughout history.

I'm glad the horror channel didn't put that bit in and it was on the dvd-I don't mind what they do but putting things in movies that shouldn't be there would be going too far. Yes the similarities between the many witchunt phases in history is striking. Also I loved how it showed you that authorities were trying to control what we see in the UK-so very true even today.

Yes, it's very scary. Especially with Congress considering a wretched, unprecedented Internet censorship bill here in the US.

They are?! Where'd you hear that? Of course, with being so close to Philly, all we're hearing about is the Penn State scandal and the death of Joe Frazier.

There are a lot of sites encouraging people in the US to contact their senators to try and stop this-the sad thing is that this will censor sites not just in the US but the whole world-this needs to be stopped at all cost-we can't let the bastards control the internet like this-please everyone try and stop this if its possible.
