yeah, i know...its been mostly dark places i've encounterd them though. just last night, i saw something near my poster and used a lighter to see what it was....BROWN RECLUSE!!!!! it jumped of the wall because i think i burned it a little, but got scared because i lost it....a few minutes later i see is staggering up on my wall again, where i finished it off. i ope it was the same one.

Yep, not shopped.

It is a Golden Orb weaver from Australia. The don't usually grow that big unless they are out in the boonies with nothing to kill them. They also usually just eat large insects so scientists are freaking out about seeing one catch a bird. There are more pictures of the bird all wrapped in the web. very cool.

Spiders are freaky. Period. Daddy Long Legs are kinda cool though. But the rest of them, if they stay completely out of my frame of vision, we'll be fine. and OFF MY BODY FOR THAT MATTER.

If anything's scarier than that monstrous spider (I think it's going to keep me awake tonght wondering if there's one lurking under the bed or something) it's gotta be cancer. My wife had it about sixteen years ago and survived. But what she had to go through....
