As for this year - dunno. The boyfriend and I will most likely do some catchup on Asian Horror or, make sure to take in our new indie favorites:
  • Murder Party
  • The Signal
  • Wizard of Gore (remake)

I was surprised by how much I liked The Signal. And I am actually looking forward to watching the Wizard of Gore remake. Think I will move it to the top of my Netflix queue now. :)

I always watch a ton of horror all through October, but the only movie I know for sure I will watch on Halloween is Pumpkinhead. Because I watch it every year. Sleepy Hollow is another good one.

Good call. I actually liked that one significantly better than Devil's Rejects.

Oh, I love Devil's Rejects too. Aside from his murderous, necrophiliac, pyschotic side, Otis is HOT! :p ;) :D

I was surprised by The Signal, too! And at first I hated the transitions it made, but they were just done so incredibly successfully that I realized that it was just brilliance.

And, honestly, I think that you'll totally appreciate The Wizard of Gore. Let me know what you think when you finally get it.

i'm going to be having my annual horror movie marathon.

Black Sunday's a great Halloween movie, though I prefer Black Sabbath myself. There's something very Halloweenish about the stories involved.

My friend got to be an extra in that. Some of the filming was done in our area.

As for Halloween movies, I make sure I watch all the Halloween series and the Scream trilogy every year. And ever since I was a kid I loved Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas so I have to watch those at least a few times during the season.

See, oddly enough, I think it's stranger to do it by accident.

I think a purposeful Halloween masquerade wedding would be awesome (Doc - I'm picturing a macabre scene out of your book - A Murderland wedding).

The ones that get me into the Halloween mood will always be the Halloween franchise but there is others of course..

Ernest Scared Stupid
Hocus Pocus
Monster House
Friday the 13th
A Nightmare On Elm Street
Child's Play
