You don't even want to know. I'm getting more and more fed up with my parents everyday. They weren't ever like this until I started making some friends for once that were there to talk to instead of them. This is gonna stop....one way or another....

OK hon, just calm down, I don't wanna hear about you on the news or anything.
Parents want to be there for their kids and there is a time when that changes. I was close to my parents when I was young, then couldn't stand them for a while (my dad used to hit me until I started hitting back). But once I moved out, we got along fine. Now my mom is gone due to cancer and my dad is this frail old man that I try to help. Life is weird. Try to acept them for who they are (no matter how irritating that may be) at least they care about you. There's a lot of people out there who's parents couldn't give a rat's ass what happened to their kids.
They, on the other hand, have to learn to let go a bit (or a lot). Try to talk to them about that, gently. You're almost "officially" an adult. They need to learn to let go.
I hope something I said made sense or helped. You're one of my favorite people on this board and I am always willing to lend an ear, electronically or otherwise. Take care VC.

Yes Posh, same goes to you. :)

I'll pair up nicely with any of the gals who can slam a few beers and listen to some metal music. Then again, I'd bet there are more than a handful of guys around here who have the same criteria;)

I like beer and metal...and Jack daniels. Does that sound like I'm volunteering? heh

but I think we should be picking people and matching them with horror movie bf/gf's

I think mine would be Hannibal Lector.

Even if I did something, no one but my parents and Stefanie would ever know. No ones close enough to me to really know or care. So, you won't hear about me on the news.

As far as them letting go, They won't listen to me when I try to talk about it. They only listen if it's something they want to hear, or if they ask me. My dad won't even listen to what I tell him about Stefie....He tries to tell me about her, and he's never even met her...I'm getting really tired of this...They want to know what's going on in my life, but they won't listen when I'm trying to talk about something important. Ugh....

Anyways, no one's made a match for me yet. haha, Maybe that's a good thing.
