This thread makes me laugh a bit...sorry...

But I hear the same damn story from my wife...she's got two medical degrees...went to school forever, owes fuckloads of money because of college loans...

And me, her hubby...

Smoked a whole fuckload of pot in high school, was really violent, had a terrible attitude towards education, and got expelled...

TWICE!

Then...never went and scored a GED, never went took a single course in college...

And I've supported my unemployed wife...
And our baby...just fine...for almost 4 years now.
And no...I'm not a laborer...
I sit in a comfy office in the penthouse of a high rise office building.

I'm so glad I didn't waste my time with college.

That's not to say I'm not educated now though...

I've matured...decided I wanted to learn about life, history, whatever...

So I read, I research...I learn about it on my own.

I don't need some opinionated professor telling me what to read and how to think.

Wow at you.

And sorry too.

I'm glad things worked out for you. I have no doubt things are going to work out for me too, even if it's not over-night. Not everyone who goes to college has a problem finding a job, it all depends on the field you choose.

I don't regret the time I spent in college for anything. It made me a better person, and it's something I'm really proud of. I never thought of my prof's as opinionated people who told me how to think. In fact, they encouraged us to make up our own minds and become our own person. It wasn't a waste of time at all. If anything, it was time/money extremely well spent.

It's been a year for me, Moonlit and my options thus far look like either helping a family friend prepare for Jeopardy, supplemented by some office work I guess or looking for work during a two or three week sojourn to Amherst, MA this Summer. Other than that, I've only got my art. It's rough all over. Though I hate to get into politics, even in a pagan-friendly liberal environment, I will say a certain organization represented by an elephant might be somehow responsible. And by this I do not mean the temple of Ganesha. Ganesha is wise and gentle, plus is in many ways very similar to the Greek Hades one of my favorite gods...aw crap, tangent...where was I? Oh, yeah...In conclusion Argentina is a sensual land of adventure and diversity.

Me and you could really have some fabulous conversations about whatever, so and so and that Thing.

Maybe we should all live in Argentina and start a commune with a few horror.com members.
I know I'm up for it.
