Here's another way to look at it......

you mentioned Alien and Terminator, those films were made to look and feel futuristic as if it were happening today. Halloween on the other hand was made to take place in '78 so that maybe one reason why the futuristic films you mentioned are still effective today and the films made for their own time period aren't.

True. Nice point.

Here are a few Razzie award winners that I thought were OK or were good. How ridiculous is it that Jim Carrey won a Razzie for worst New Actor for Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber?

1. Howard the Duck-------this movie was great.
2. Over the Top, Rocky 4 (best one), Cobra (awesome bad guys).... You dont mess with people that bang axes together.
I think Stallone is gettin a bad wrap here. Worst Actor of the century??? I doubt that.
3. Cool as Ice
4. Stone Cold
5. Demolition Man
6. Showgirls--- werent as bad as people made it out to be.
7. Armageddon--- this movie was okay.

I have ALWAYS said that...Not only should it have been its own movie, but I think it should have had a sequel, too...

EXTR3MIST 07-01-2005 05:09 AM

There were at least 4 sequels, baby.

LOL...I meant a sequel to 'Season Of The Witch' if it had stood on its own, apart from the other Halloween movies:)

Howard the Duck is one of my guilty pleasures too

I agree there are far worse actors out there. Other than Stop or My Mom Will Shoot I cant really think of a movie Sly made that I didnt like.

Stone Cold. Wasnt as bad as a lot make it out. Lance Henricksen and William Forsythe are actually damn good as sleazoid outlaw bikers. Brian Bosworth wasnt that bad either.
