i read an awsome story about this subject, i think it was called "an occurance at owl creek bridge". it was about a man who was going to be hanged, and as they drop him, the rope breaks. he gets away, and has a really exciting adventure in which he comes to grip with his life. at the climax of the story, the rope snaps tight and breaks his neck. it all takes place in his mind.

I want to hear your opinions on this one please.

i don't know...but isuppose they do. does the bible say anything about it?...well anywho i would say they do.. cause they say heaven is perfection, and maybe for some it wouldn't be perfect if their fav pet weren't there with them.

It would be egocentric to think that only humans have a soul. In my opinion, all living organism either have one or don't. My grandmother says humans can end up in paradise. But when I ask her if bugs do, she says no. She says the same thing about animals. God must be really evil.

Yes, the idea of a "soul" - say we consider such a thing exists for a moment - being exclusive to human beings is fanciful, ideallistic thinking from those who consider us to be so unique among species that we must continue our superior existence into the afterlife (where lesser, soulless species of course cannot venture).

Imagine Heaven without animals...?

Man's ego will be the last thing to die, I think!

And suppose we come from the monkey... when exactly did we get a soul during the process?

Cool....Dinosaurs in heaven, then...:D

For the record, evolution doesnt say we came from monkeys or apes. it does, however, say that we probably came from a common ancestor that resembles a lemur.

And chimps are not monkeys...

last week (on the ol' honeymoon), we were at the franklin park zoo in boston (sad sad saaaad, pathetic place. dont go...) and we were looking at tyhe gorillas, and this lady come up with her kid "Hey honey! look at the monkeys! wake to the monkeys!"......

I called her an ignorant twat under my breath and bree decided we should move on before i choked the stupid bitch... read a fucking book, you may learn something....
