I watched The Shining again the other day...and for the first time, i realised that I no longer like it...or at least not as much as I used to.

Sad day!

That's too bad. I've seen it overy 40 times, and it hasn't gotten old.

DANCE OF THE DAMNED 1989

A vampire offers a pole dancer a fair bit of coin to just talk til 6:00am. She doesn't know he's a vampire but that somethings strange in the neighborhood.

Once he has her locked in his house, he wants her to tell him everything she knows about living in daytime. And then he tells her he will will need to drink her blood.

Its a pretty different story and I had to appreciate that.

Watched two of my favourite Attenborough movies last night....

Séance on a Wet Afternoon
10 Rillington Place

What an absolute legend, one of my favourite actors and an amazing talent both as actor and director.

JAWS 4: THE REVENGE (1987)

I wanted to like this film but it focused too much on character development with Jaws as a kind of adjunct to the film. I like dramas but if you're going to name the film Jaws then you have to have the title character front and center. Also, without giving too much away, it wasn't clear to me how they defeated Jaws at the end. Skip...

There's also the fact that sharks can apparently hold a grudge.

Nightmare (1981) -- 9/10; It has that wonderful early 80s atmosphere and a very memorable ending.

When Michael Caine was asked about this movie in an interview, he answered, "I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific."
