They're gonna do a movie about Manson and the cult with that long haired dude from Devil's Rejects as Charlie.
Could be good.

The Monkey's Paw (2013)

Interesting cajun twist on the Poe story. I wish they'd put some more thought in the wishes aspect. And some more backstory. Worth a watch. The baddie reminded me a bit of user Angra.

Ah yeah, I think it's a Rob Zombie movie. I'll look forward to that one. Although I gotta admit, I'm a little torn on whether or not I get too into horror films based on true serial killers. One of the things that keeps my conscience clean while watching gruesome gore and violence is that it's all just a movie.

Nifty little thriller. Would have liked to see the main character going through more ideas for completing the tasks, or seeing some clever & humorous details, but still pretty decent.

The Manson Family (2003)

Creatively edited, rapid-fire exploitation mockumentary that attempts to tell the story from the eyes of "The Family" members, while also exploring the idea that The Family lives on through modern day Manson followers. The acting's distractingly mediocre for a faux documentary, but it's worth watching for the interesting delivery and the the sheer gruesomeness of the murders.

A mockumentary? Makes it sound like a comedy, or at least a parody. Why do you call it a mockumentary? Was it in documentary style with a narrator & stuff?

I've researched The Family a number of times for various reasons. Including getting to know the real life victims of The Family. From what I read this is truly an exploitation film. I'm sure I'm all alone on this, but I'm really getting bothered at actual crimes of real people getting killed being portrayed as nothing but exploitation entertainment.

Part of it is sort of found footage - meant to be be like the The Family home movies. The is also a segment (not FF) set in contemporary times.

The tatlented Jim Van Bebber directed it - I loved it. It doesn't particularly exploit the crimes, no more than any other film on the subject.

Horror/comedy from New Zealand. Kylie is ordered to move back in with her Mum to serve a house arrest 8-month sentence. One night she hears her mum calling a late night radio program talking about the house being haunted. Is it?

I loved this movie. Funny when it should be and the Mum is a hoot.

"The Battery" 5/10

A well acted and well shot indie movie, but watching two guys living their daily lives and having their daily conversations in a zombie apocalyptic world was a rather dull experience. Sorry Raegan.

i could not finish it, it was sooooo boring!!
