Beyond the Door.

Really quite an interesting possesion film from 1974. Some truly creepy stuff going on. It's not perfect, and does get a bit silly a few times, but still very good.

The Doomsday Machine.

A turkey of a low budget sci fi film that was originally filmed in 1967, shelved, and then finished off in 72 without any of the original cast. Interesting for some of the cast like Bobby Van and Ruta Lee, and Casey Kasem as mission control. There's a brief glimpse of a young Mike Farrell, later to play BJ Hunnicut on MASH.

Really sloppy production. The rocket ship changes shape radically, without comment, due to all the shots being footage from other films...

I have a bit of a soft spot for this one.... The acting is a bit hit and miss and its all a bit cheesy, but there are some nicely done scenes in there too.

I found both of the kids to be really creepy, even the supposedly normal sister. And the possesion effects were frightening as well.

Just watched the trailer and am mad now because I don't know where I'll ever be able to find it!

The Pyx. 1973

Classic crime drama/thriller starring Karen Black and Christopher Plummer. Excellent script, acting, direction, a fine film all around. Black even wrote and performed several songs for the film. A standout role for her.

I've been watching a lot of their offerings. Great variety, good films and bad, from the silent era up to the 80s.

For my taste it's better than Fearnet!
