"The Relic" (1997)
- Tom Sizemore, Penelope Ann Miller

Plot: IMDB

A researcher at Chicago's Natural History Museum returns from South America with some crates containing his findings. When the crates arrive at the museum without the owner there appears to be very little inside. However, police discover gruesome murders on the cargo ship that brought the crates to the US and then another murder in the museum itself. Investigating the murders is Lt. Vincent D'Agosta who enlists the help of Dr. Margo Green at the museum - she has taken an interest in the contents of her colleague's crates. Unknown to both there is a large creature roaming the museum which is gearing itself up for a benefit reception which the city's mayor is to attend.

Phantom's Review: First let me say that I thought the book this movie was based on was better, but that's the way it is in most adaptations. Now having said that, let me say... I love this movie. A good old fashioned monster movie, a fun story and a very cool monster (Stan Winston does it again) Tom Sizemore is believable as the superstitious cop and Penelope Ann Miler is fine as a no nonsense scientist. A very enjoyable movie.

The Blob (1988)

I enjoyed it. I havent seen the original since I was a kid but from what I can remember, and takin into consideration this was an 80s movie, I dig this one.

Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011)

http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...WrongTurn4.jpg

The most awful entry in the series; badly written & full with stupid & annoying characters. Instead of watching the full movie, you can here watch the following music video as it covers most of the "highlighted" parts of the movie.

This song is the only good thing about the film that they played at the end title.

Dead Alive

It's a Kiwi Evil Dead!

What's not to love about a film where a man runs through a house chopping up zombies with an lawnmower?

Last watched for me is Hellraiser. The local £1 shop was selling Hellraiser 1, 2 and 3 for (you guessed it) £1 each.

Upon getting home I found that my wife, who is pretty respectable in the terms of being a horror fan, had never seen Hellraiser (yeah, I don't know how that can happen either). So naturally it went straight on.

And what did she think of it?
