Yes I love it-it's a return to her earlier albums so has more of a celtic feel than her most recent work. But it's not a step backwards-you can tell that she has learned a lot about production on her other more recent albums and so even when the album is a bit sparse sounding, there are still layers there.

Bob Segar is pretty rad. Been listening to the album Stranger In Town quite a bit lately.

I caught Seger in concert about a year before he hit it big. He was still doing things like "Ramblin Gamblin Man" and "Noah." He tore the place up!

Man I would've loved to have been there to check out a lot of the cool shit you guys would've seen! Must've been unreal hearing some of those tunes when they first dropped too.

:)

Yes, there's something VERY 80s nwobhm about them. Especially on that album. Haven't heard their brand new one.

But it's actually an Australian band, believe it or not.

Another 80s party song from the same album is

:D

Yo Angra you should check out Razorwyre from over here. Dudes tear it up. Their first EP is available for free download from that link. Their song Suspiria rules.

Definitely 80s style.

Would say it's a blend between trash and nwobhm. And yes, with Suspiria and Battleshark being the strongest songs. Especially the last one, imho.

Music wise all the songs had lots of cool ol' school riffs. But the songs left a lot to be desired. Especially in the catchy area.

Thank you for listening.

I'm Angra.

Wow man that would've been really cool. I can visualise Catus being a really killer live band. Seems like they would be home in that environment improvising and jamming out on their tunes. Finally found a copy of the first LP on vinyl... can't wait till it arrives and I can slap in on the turntable.

There's just something about late 60s and 70s rock. I don't know... can't quite put my finger on what it is but it just kicks my ass.

Did either of you guys get to see the classic line up of Skynyrd or Uriah Heep? Got any other suggestions for bands I should check out? Keen to delve further into it all.
