AMICUS HORROR 06-30-2010 09:16 AM

Tales from the crypt, one of my favorite Amicus horror films, awesome stuff, the Joan Collins story with the Santa was pure fun. The blind Ally story was very creepy.

Yeah, I always enjoyed this one, too.
The manic Santa was redone as an early episode for the series. It's a little goofier, but still good.

Just watched Tooth and Nail tonight - it's available on instant play over at Netflix right now - it wasn't bad, the pace was good. I rated it about 3.5 out of 5.
House of the Devil - enjoyed this one too, liked the 1980s feel/look to it.
House of Usher - the 2006 version, did not like this one at all. Too slow for my taste.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

excellent movie and love the two leads.

and of course Hollywood is already on the verge of a remake...but at least David Fincher is at the helm....so it might be pretty good.

9 (2009). The animation here is simply amazing, too bad the movie didn't follow suit. The characters are flat, the story is tired and predictable, the ending lame. It is like the creaters got stuck in deiciding, juvenile or adult flick, refused to decide and made neither. The result shows. Still worth a look to see the great visuals.

last seen movies...

Cabin Fever. I have also been going through the "Massacre" franchise... some of which is bloody awful.
