Mr. Magorium's Wonder Imporium:

A sweet, little movie intended for children kept me laughing for most of it. Dustin Hoffman was so good as a Willy Wonka type man and the adult cast members were all so great with the kids. It really was like an updated Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I loved it.

Mortal Kombat

After watching the little mini film floating around the net over the last couple of weeks I decided to check this out again. It had a few cool moments but yeh I still think it sucks. I hope this gets a reboot because that clip of what they were intending to do looks awesome.

Blood and Bone

This ruled. Best action flick I've seen in ages.

Repo! The Genetic Opera

Wasn't sure what I'd think of this but I actually really enjoyed it and thought it was pretty sharp. Doesn't really deserve the savaging it got in a lot of reviews.

Yeah, I felt the same way about this one. A few cool moments, and I liked the mood and setting, but definitely disappointed.

Grotesque was OK. Started off promising, first 3/4 were good. Became just another same old, same old though towards the end. Made a change that the man was treated worse than the woman. But The idea of testing love's boundaries-even if fruitless was refreshing.

Survival of the Dead

Not quite one of Romero's best, but if you look at the past few movies he's released, this one wasn't bad at all. I'm not going to spoil anything, but if you decide to watch it, keep your expectations low.

Inferno (1980)

Daybreakers (2009). With incredible production value, wonderful acting, and some pretty splendid effects, this turned out to be a disappointment. What really killed it was its portrayal of a rather smart horror flick whose foundations were based on a rather cyclopean plot hole. Then there was that ending, which almost threatened to redeem itself only to be ruined with a shot. Still worth a look, though. Ashe.

Are you a fan of the new wave of french horror cinema?

Do you love your horror tales with a generous dose of splatstick (yes that's a word I invented...I hope) humor and plenty of gore?

Do you want to see a riveting tale of cops and robbers take a frighteningly gorific turn?

If the answer is yes to all of the above, watch it asap. Then come back and rave about it to everyone else. Highly recommended.

Chrono, NE, Fort, Jenna, Psycho, Return, Alky, Newb, Zwoti, Rayne...everyone else reading this, hunt this movie down and blind buy it wherever you find it. Trust me, you won't be sorry.

Watched this Yesterday and it was on the whole a lot of fun.The grungy setting worked really well as a backdrop to an increasingly catastrophic event, and the action sequences were well staged and satisfyingly violent and bloody. While I enjoyed much of what was on offer I did find the characters to be at times irritatingly stupid, despite this gripe there isn't much to dislike about this film, even the absence of any exposition does not really detract from what is a solid entertainer. 7/10
