I'm interested in what you thought of Grotesque I quite liked it.

I enjoyed the first 3/4 of Grotesqu. Interesting idea and made a change to see the man taking the brunt of it. Found the last 1/4 a little daft, uninspired and predictable-if hard to 'stomach'!

Michael Clayton: First watch. Thought it dragged a little now and then, but enjoyed it. Some quality acting and an entertaining story.

Are you a fan of the new wave of french horror cinema?

Do you love your horror tales with a generous dose of splatstick (yes that's a word I invented...I hope) humor and plenty of gore?

Do you want to see a riveting tale of cops and robbers take a frighteningly gorific turn?

If the answer is yes to all of the above, watch it asap. Then come back and rave about it to everyone else. Highly recommended.

Chrono, NE, Fort, Jenna, Psycho, Return, Alky, Newb, Zwoti, Rayne...everyone else reading this, hunt this movie down and blind buy it wherever you find it. Trust me, you won't be sorry.

thanks for the heads-up. Looks like a 7/7/10 release date on DVD

"Crank - high voltage" 5-6/10

What a fucked up movie.

Somehow reminded me of Uwe Bollīs "Postal".

Don't think the dvd is out yet. Find it at a Film Festival or theater near you.

I think this one will come under the Dimension Extreme label soon, ala Inside.

Yesterday I have find a copy of LA HORDE in a local dvd store where they most probably downloaded it from online & thus it comes with NO English Subtitles! So, will it be okay to give it a watch without understanding a single line?:o

Infestation (2009). After the rather cool opening credits rolled by, the first couple of lines of dialog seemed sorta clunky, giving me that "bummer this is gunna suck" feeling. Instead, that dialog turned out to be a wonderfully awkward and wry sense of humor that was kept up throughout. Haters of horror sci-fi comedies stay away, as this is a fun and central character driven comedy first, horror and sci-fi a close second. The story itself does not get all caught up trying to explain to the viewer exactly what is happening, and we are left in the same discombobulated place as our unlikely heroes. Loved the end, BTW. The acting was first rate for this genre; that poor blonde is not acting poorly, but instead her awkward responses only serve to make her almost psycho creepy. The direction is solid, and the relative newcomer Kyle Rankin does much with this low budget that was incidentally was shot in Bulgaria. The effects were pretty effective, sans that over-the-top CGI feeling. Overall this fun sci-fi proved to be a mighty entertainer. Mercie beaucoup.

Batoru Rowaiaru (Battle Royale) (2000)

Simply amazing. I loved every second of it. I had heard lots of great things about this, but none of them do this film justice. The concept is simple, but very, very effective. Every second of the film is full of tension, and thrills. Highly reccomended.
