As I don't vote, people say to me that I don't have a right to complain. I then say that I shouldn't pay my taxes. They oppose this by saying I still have to pay my taxes.

To whom? Remember, I don't vote, so in effect, nobody represents me.

Now we come to the same situation in which Americans fought the Revolution!

Taxation Without Representation.

I have always heard that same thing about not being allowed to complain. This is our country isn't it? The presidential election of 2000 proved that votes don't mean shit when you have money and power. As of right now I have no plans on voting again. Even if any further elections I vote in aren't a sham, it comes down to whoever wins will just be a douche or a turd like the south park episode says. Our country has now moved from a joke to a dangerous threat when we have countries like Russia now becoming angry with us and as far as I know China is much closer with Russia than with us so if thy turn against us too we are all fucked.

I don't understand how people can watch only one episode a week of a show.

That's actually easy for me. Being an older chap, I was raised waiting a week or more for the next episode. Still doesn't bother me. What I do find unreal is that, in order to watch my favorite movies, I used to have to wait until the local stations would air them. Prior to the home video era, we fans would scour the TV guide each week and hope to see King Kong or Psycho in the listings. Today, I can't believe there was a time when I couldn't just toss a Texas Chainsaw Massacre disc in the player.

I grew up fairly old school. Only 3 channels and my favorite shows were usually on TV and meant waiting a week for new episodes. I remember recording them on VHS to rewatch several times to curb my excitement for the next new episode during the week. Nowadays though I just let the show air and after enough episodes are released I binge watch them when I feel like it. I don't have the rabid fangirl love for shows like I used too.

I prefer to watch some shows that way. Shows like Game of Thrones and Walking Dead don't lend themselves to binge watching for me because I like to talk about the show with people, go over theories of why something happened or may happen, and I enjoy the building anticipation of the upcoming episode.
