A SIMPLE PLAN by Scott Smith. Pretty good debut about $$ being the root of all evil. Made into a less than impressive 1998 film.

I just recently sold my entire book collection (due to moving & space issues) which included most of Stephen King mainly in hardcover. It's hard for me to pick just one of his to be my favorite....

I really enjoyed:

Misery
IT
Salem's Lot
The Stand
Insomnia
The Dark Tower series

He has great short stories too!!

Let's just say that there wasn't many of his that I did not like.
