MAD MAX fuckin' kills 12 Monkeys you cunts have no taste :)

12 Monkeys.
I think it's more sci-fi than Mad Max, which was an actioner set in the near future.

rofl...dont count on it, NE. And don't give up just yet, either.

There are still some twists left in this one...;)

6-3, 12 Monkeys leads over Mad Max.

More votes needed to decide this one...

12 Monkeys.

Gilliam's excellent visionary tale outshines Gibson's post-apocalyptic action film by a mile.

wow

bastard of a choice.

But .... i'm going to go with The Thing

although the effects in Alien were top notch - The Thing blew the envelope wide open with the operating room scene .. inspired mayhem the likes of which have never been repeated so effectively.

also - and no one ever mentions this : i love the fact that the movie was about a group of scruffy old men.

i love women, but they are often just t&a in horror films.
Even Sigourney was exploited for her beauty in the underwear shots.
It's the one thing almost every horror movie tries to sell itself with - sex appeal ...

This Thing is unique in this - a very ballsy approach to the genre, and a lesser film would have worked - illogically - a woman in this as a love interest.

Again - i love women, and i love strong women, and i love scantilly dressed strong women even more .... but i always admired The Thing for it's simplicity...

sort of the way i admire a comedian who manages to be hysterically funny - without being dirty.

(and i like the dirty comedians too)

i realize i probably just dug myself a hole no one else will understand - oh well.
