fat people get sick more often
99% of fat people are fat because they are lazy and unproductive, they eat because they are bored
fat people take up more space
there are a lot of jobs fat people just can't do physically
most people think fatties are gross

does anyone disagree with any of that? if not, why do you continue to stick up for these blobs?
are you fat? why on earth are you fat? you really want to go through life as a fatty?

if you're not sure if you're fat or not, post a picture of yourself and I will tell you.

I tend to agree with you-I used to be fat-I got tired of it and lost weight. This is no easy trick though it's a constant battle-but true a lot of them just dont want to admit they have a problem, which is why you often see people wearing clothes completly wrong for their size or are too lazy to try to do anything about it-

danielpm 10-17-2010 09:46 AM

I used to be fat as well, and I could not agree with you less. Fat people are not always lazy, such as myself. I worked in a factory at 300lbs, stacking and building trusses, assembeling lighting and electrical equipment for concerts. I worked just as hard as everybody else. I liked to eat, I still stayed active through work. I used to lift weight (I still do today) and do pushups, I was fat but also very strong. I think your stereo-typing fat people, there is a small community of fat people that are still healthy and productive.

if you can't even control yourself, how can you expect to control anything else?

Saw a duco once. It was looking at the health of fat people. Every fat person they tested, who led a active lifestyle, like you say you did. Were just as healthy as their lighter counterparts. During exercise test, to meassure their fitness. Their heart rate was just as good as the skinny persons. Their lungs etc. operated just as efficiently as the skinny persons. etc. Some could even handle the exercise better than their skinner counterpart. Some dumdums. *cough murderdoll*cough* aren't intelligent enough to understand that fat doesn;t always = unhealthy. Or that skinny always = healthy.

Yeah, I kinda agree. I just really hate the people who complain about being overweight and fat, yet they open a bag of potato chips almost simultaneously.

The show was on 4 corners abc. They had a woman on there. While she was no fat Albert. She was big. And her heart, lungs lactose build up during exercise was, every bit and in some case better than those of what is considered healthy bmi's. They Carried this test out on a number of people with very high bmi's . Who also led active lifestyles. And the results were similar. unless, you fall into the category of obese. Having a high bmi, doesn't always equal unhealthy or unfit. Take a hottie like me for example. My bmi is what is called over average. But my waist is still under a 100 cm. But my high bone and muscle mass, pushes me over the limit, what is thought to be a healthy bmi. It's this fluctuation in people's bone and muscle mass, which lead to many armed services dumping the bmi, as a way of telling if a person is the right weight for the services. But then again. This is science. You probably don't understand

He's definally an exception to the rule but that is Roy Nelson - he currently fights in the ufc and has an MMA record of 15-5. Hes a former International Fight League Heavyweight Champion and won the Ultimate Fighter Reality show.

The guy has amazing cardio.

Its called equal opportunity

Although I am not obese in the traditional sense, I am according to the BMI index which is a crock of crap.

I honestly cannot believe that someone would post something like this here, I guess you have quite the "balls". In the working world people are hired on their merits and not their physical appearance, unless you are a model. There are laws about job discrimination out there just for the purpose of a potential employer with your mind set for the protection of the potential employee.

If discrimination occurs against people that are over weight, where would it stop, how about people killing themselves every day with every puff of a cigarette they inhale. Or what about people that are adrenalin junkies who might die, if they jump out of plane. Or what about pregnant women who while take time off to spent with their babies. Do you see my point? Where would it end?

So do you think obese people should not board a plane or pay for two seats?

You pose an interesting question, but I think in America where fast food is available everywhere I think it is all too easy to become obese and our population is at an all time high with obesity, so you would have to not hire a lot of people and that is just not right.

If you beileve this I think you're being a tad naive. they may tell you to you face but at the back of their mind it is part of the decision to hire people.

I know this is just a yahoo fluff piece but this was front page yesterday:

6. Being overweight can work against you.
Even though overweight individuals can be fast on their feet and slim people can be lazy, an interviewer might assume an obese job candidate won’t be able to keep up at a “high-performance” company. Cohen gives the example of a manufacturing company that prided itself on efficiency and speed. Every prospective employee was taken on a walking tour of the large plant before being hired. If the prospect couldn’t keep up with the owner’s fast pace on the facility tour, he or she wouldn’t be hired. If you’re worried your size may be working against you, Cohen suggests emphasizing how adept and resourceful you are.

I'm sure a large amount of potential employers might discriminate against me have visable tattoos despite them having no bearing on my ability to do the job...

ferretchucker 11-12-2010 08:45 AM

I'm down from 9 stone 12 at 5ft 2 to 8 stone 4 at 5 ft 5. :)

Am I a thin person now? :p
