Word. actually i was really NOT into cowboy bebop when i first started watching it. Everyone was ALL about it, so ofcourse i was skeptical. But the most the more i watched, the more i got into it. The character style, the MUSIC, the whole stylized anime. Not to mention the whole Spike Vs. Vicious thing, yes the end IS incredibly sad, i almost cried as well, lol dont feel bad.


Evengeleon is another level tho. Its not like anything else, its all about being human and psychology and religion and the end of the world. Angels come and attack the earth, 13-14 year olds have to save the world. Man vs. God. Etc. I guess im a bit partial as im REALLY into religion and shit like that, but its more hardcore (psychologically) than any other anime, damn, any other movie EVER.

For Example, one of the girls, Asaka the read head, gets attacked by an angel and it "RAPES HER MIND", it delves into her thoughts and brings up her mothers suicide, her menstration (as she had her first period that week), and other things that make you CRINGE at the sheer hardcoreness of the writes. Its like DAMN!!! All the while it plays Handels "Messiah" in the soundtrack, fucking INSANE:eek: :eek: :eek:

Just download some episodes, as you will NEVER, EVER see this shit on TV lol.

Anyway if you ppl like those charcter things does that mean you like Dragonball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, Cardcaptors, The thing with that pig girl in it, uhm....., Digimon...., Sakura (or was that the same as cardcaptors???) well yeah i cant think of any more coz there is heaps but do u like these coz...well theyre odd. By the way dont visit dragonballx the website instead of dragonballz i havent personally taken a look (and dont care to) but its not what the lil kiddies are looking for when it comes to dragonballz if u get my drift.....

These are more of an ADULT anime (these being Evangeleon, Cowboy Bebop, and in the vampire thread, VAMPIRE HUNTER D), as opposed to Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and to a lesser extent Dragan Ballz,gt, and various other serious. I mean its not to say these animes dont have their place, as they obviously do due to their popularity, but THESE anime were are discussing are more for an 17+ crowd and tend to deal with more mature subject matter.

dunno if you've seen reign but heres a pic. reign isnt all that popular so there isnt much that u can find on it so as u can see this is just off of the box. but you can kind of see the blue guy in back, which looks a lot like one of the creatures u posted

just a thought that came up to me. u know how everyone here blew up at Crouching Tiger Hidden dragon.? well ur desc of evan souded prety cool, obviously a lot heavier than anything over here and well im just saying i bet the japanese are thinkin 'meh, oits alright. just regular stuff' whereas were like OMG THATS SO COOL! lol just a thought. i say that cuz the japanese thought crouching tiger was total crap lol

We watched reign for a bit here, it was alright. Not to Cowboy Bebop standards or anything, the story line lacked a bit i think. It was alright though, definitly watchable, just couldv'e been better.

We have our computer hooked directly into our TV so whatever we download we can port over to the tv and watch on the big screen, that way its not as gay as watching it on your comp, you should try that, if your comp and vcr/tv are close enough...

as for hooking the comp up to the tv, hm that could work. except that my comp is a piece of crap lol and pretty much i need to start burning stuff off of it onto other things

as for the yu gi oh, dragonball... i have to admit some of the characters (the card things) are interesting but really its a bit childish for me

actually.. they show INuyasha at late hours and personally i find it to be a bit childish. not only does kigomys voice bug the crap out of me but they state the obvious way too often..
