Re-Cycle is great, IMO. Really visually stunning and a cool story too.

Re-Cycle was overrated. Visually stunning but absolutely insipid and predictable story-wise.

With Penny Dreadful I thought it was going to be terrible, but it wasn't bad, so that to me equated it to ok or good.

With Re-Cycle I had ridiculously high hopes which were further bolstered by the amazing effects... So when the story began to deteriorate I became infuriated. Honestly, I probably would have appreciated it more with the subtitles off. That way I wouldn't have understood the story at all and would have been able to just revel in the visuals.

I just HATED the tacked-on Disney reconciliation... SO NEEDLESSLY CHEESY. I think the reason why I begrudge the movie so is that it started so incredibly STRONG for me... That when it turned condescending and pandering I couldn't just take it.

I Know Who Killed Me and Repo. I Know Who Killed Me was sort of clever and Argentoish and Repo had nice sets and world building.
