But you know you're gonna have to...
|
And so, FINALLY, the Sticky is up, folks! :D
It took a LOT of effort (and a lot of arguing and counter-reasoning, back-and-forth) but the judges finally got their wavelengths together and cobbled the compilation. Although we are still a bit divided on the Honorable Mentions right now...but I hope that will be sorted out, asap. Enjoy the Sticky, and ask for your favorite star's blurb! |
I will of course, do Oboler, also Ackerman, Arkoff, Fisher & Sangster.
|
i'll do Adrienne Barbeau.
not her blurb ... i'll just do her. |
I could do Dante, Kafka and Honda.
|
All yours, gentlemen.
(Psst Urge, can you hammer out a few lines in-between all the hammering?) :D |
***ATTENTION***
Blurb-writers NEEDED! |
I'm working all weekend. I'll get to the rest of mine next week.
|
I'll be on mine tomorrow.

im gonna work on mine tomorrow after I finish up my css homework.
|
So, I never got a reply on this. How does this work? I've done a Hooper blurb. What happens now? I send it somewhere, or post it here?
|
Send it to V
|
Received your blurb, Festered.
It's a rather lengthy one, so if it doesn't fit, I might have to edit it. :) |
Yea, I did ramble a bit. Punch it up, if you have to.
|
I can do Tod Browning and FW Murnau if they are not yet spoken for.
|

btw, Tobe Hooper blurb is up. Written and rambled by Festered, edited for the Sticky by yours truly. |
One of mine's in your box. I'll have another for you tonight.
|
I know I didn't contribute a list, but I would gladly come up with some blurbs if someone could post a list of which ones are already taken.

Murnau is with Papillon. Doc has 1 with him too. NE hasnt sent in any of his yet, and I have no requests pending right now. So, feel free to choose any 5, Return...more likely than not that they would be free and all yours. Anyway, Tod Browning and Franz Kafka blurbs are up. |
I still plan on doing Arkoff, Fisher, Sangster & Oboler. I had to work the last several days.
|
All yours.
I am guessing the older nominees will get finished first, before work starts on the newer ones. |
If there are any left, I would like to do a blurb or two too.
|
Sure thing, Bub. You are very welcome to choose some/any for yourself.
(And I am so glad you came back to stay, bud!) Check your PM box. :) |
***Bump***
Ishiro Honda blurb is up, thanks to Doc Faustus. I would love to have more people writing blurbs for their favorite horror personalities, if they can. Come on, folks! |
I'll do Clive. He's pretty much the biggest inspiration to me in my personal writings.
|
All yours. :)
|
If they aren't spoken for, I'd love to do Vincent Price, Ed Wood and Dwight Frye :)
|
Holy shit.
It took me a while, but I FINALLY got around to reading the list and I am impressed and happy with the final decisions. There are some honorees on there whom I WANTED to vote for, but wasn't sure were applicable in the sense of the list (ie Bosch, Dante, Poe, Lovecraft, Stoker)... I thought that they belonged on the List, but I interpreted the exercise to be restricted to directors, actors, screenwriters and not necessarily their inspirations. I am VERY glad that I was wrong in this interpretation and that the tribunal recognized them. Inspiration belongs on that list as much as the mediums do. As for people needing blurbs, I know that I've promised V blurbs before, but there are a couple of icons on there whom I think deserve some attention. If I get myself out of my current rut, I might have to write a couple. Excellent job organizing, V, and tribunal - great job with the honorees. |

And Chrono, ask for a blurb, and you might get it. :) |

edit: and r.l. stine, too. |
Okay...all yours, J.
|
I will also take Ed Wood if he has not yet been spoken for.
I know I also still have FW Murnau which I will finish today or tomorrow. |
Nope, nobody has asked for Ed Wood yet.
All yours, my lovely butterfly. :) |

lmao...okay, the one who sends it first gets the honors. :p
Update - Vincent Price blurb is up on Page 3. Wonderfully written by The Return, not requiring one alphabet or symbol of editing. Great job! |

PS - My Ed Wood blurb is in - what about you Noir? :p |
Not only in, but up too.
Page 1 - Ed Wood by The Return. Lovely little blurb...very neat. |
