When I'm signed out, it says I can't read it because I'm not logged in...When I try THIS account, it says the same thing as the other one (about cannot find...whatever it said...)...WTF?

Can someone who CAN make the link work, please send Urge's poem to my Rayne PM box?

Fun war :)

MY DARLING RAYNE
THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK
MY RHYMING SKILLS
ARE NEVER OFTEN WEAK

THE LAW OF AVERAGES
MUST COME INTO PLAY
OUT OF 162 POST
A COUPLE MUST STRAY

TRY WALKING IN MY SHOES
TRY FEELING MY PAIN
I CARRY THE BURDEN
OF A MIGHTY LONG CHAIN

A CHAINED THAT I FORGED
I CAN BLAME NO OTHER
BECAUSE I WAS NOT BREAST FED
I SUPPOSE I CAN BLAME MY MOTHER

I'LL GIVE THIS URGEOK HIS DUE
HIS POEMS HAVE ME SOLD
BUT IN JUST A FEW YEARS
HE'LL BE SENILE AND OLD

I'LL BE HERE FOREVER
YOU COME AND GO AS YOU PLEASE
REMEMBER THAT THE NEXT TIME
MARLEY'S GHOST YOU WANT TO TEASE

The Graveyard was the perfect place for this poem, cuz you just MURDERED the iambic pentameter in this one:p

I still love ya tho :)

And yes, I left out the part about percentages...But, that was why I added that you had only messed up a little a few times...You know, considering the volume

[ iambic pentameter need not consist entirely of iambs, nor need it have ten syllables. Most poets who have a great facility for iambic pentameter frequently vary the rhythm of their poetry as Donne and Shakespeare do, both to create a more interesting overall rhythm and to highlight important thematic elements. In fact, the skillful variation of iambic pentameter, rather than the consistent use of it, may well be what distinguishes the rhythmic artistry of Donne, Shakespeare, Milton, and the 20th century sonneteer Edna St. Vincent Millay, Marley's Ghost.]

I've been through all 20 pages of results for user "urgeok" and all the matches for "night before christmas" and night before xmas and didn't find the poem. It appears to be lost.

ferretchucker 04-15-2008 12:32 PM

That is fair enough,

Wow. I haven't been paying attention - Missed his passing! DAMN! I mean... too bad. ;)

...

By the way, the tombstone wars are just enough to entertain my short attention span. Continue.
