I'd like to argue that Maximum Overdrive is redeemed due to a thoroughly KICK ASS soundtrack! AC/DC Back in Black? HOLY SHEEEIT!!!
|
there's a funny story about that on the AC/DC Live at Donnington DVD extras - apparently King wanted the boys to due additoinal music - the couple of instrumental songs on the MO soundtrack - but when they finished up those numbers, he hated them.
A few years after the film came out, he came up to Angus and Malcolm and admitted that the only thing worth shit out of the whole film were the AC/DC instrumentals. . . lol |
Wendigo and Valentine. Godawful the both of them.

Dead Meat
Creep Day of the Dead 2 - COntagium Freddy V Jason there's more but Ill stick with those |
I really enjoyed Freddy vs. Jason and Return of the Living Dead 3. I would say the worst horror film would have to have aired on the sci-fi channel, have featured a Melrose place or Models Inc cast member in the lead and have a title indicating the kind of animal that menaces the protagonist and possibly his awkward teenage daughter. There's about thirty five of these, one of them has to be it.

Jason X was even fun but not HotD, I mean, the whole "80s simulation" thing was great! If like me you lived through the 80s...
|
OMG! I completely forgot that Jason X ever existed. It was probably better off that way. It sucked much ass.
|
I think American Psycho 2 deserves honorable mention as well. Not to mention Dracula's Curse. I have never seen such an uptight Italian film in my life. Every bit of brilliant decadence common to the cultural output of Italian horror was surgically removed. Although I've only seen the box for Sasquatch Hunters, it looks like it might very well have a place in HDC's hall of shame. Is there an official HDC hall of shame by the way?

DOTD Contagium is an okay lo-budget zombie flick, the only problem is that they had the stones to call it a pre/sequel to Romero's masterpiece. The story had NOTHING to do with DOTD or Romero's mythology, I don't know what they were thinking. |
The Dead Hate the Living isn't a bad zombie film - much better than most of the rest of the Romero derivatives.
|
Yes, I'll give it points for originality.
|
You know, I almost forgot about it (I've been trying for years) but Island of the Dead was HORRIBLE. I'd rather watch House of the Dead with Ewe Boll sitting next to me telling me how great it was and eating popcorn loudly then to have to watch the last 10 minutes of Island of the Dead.
|
back on the poktergeist thing... the first poltergeist is one of the best scary movies i have seen by far. the effects for 1982* ? were great, and the acting was great, and it was great. and a tree tried to eat the kid.
cant go wrong with child eating trees! yeah house of the dead was more like... go outside and lick the freeway for 6 hours and then eat your tongue kind of fun than anything else |
i hate to say it because i love eliza dushku SO much, but
Soul Survivors was a pretty bad horror movie. i also thought Boogeyman was horrible too. thats just me though. |
I though another worst horror ever, How about Kondom des Grauens (Killer condoms) 1996. I seen that on cable and did that shit sucked. I guess some ppl like it. :D Condoms bitting people dicks off and a cop (i think) chasing the condom around.

Hood of the Living Dead, couldn't even watch it. Alone in the Dark, didn't catch my interest. House of the Dead - don't hurt me - looks decent from the trailer :x I'd watch it, but then probably hate it afterward.
|
lol@"Hood Of The Living Dead". Saw that at the video store and it looks like another rapper-horror-genre-cash-in that's sure to suck. They oughta stick to doing rap music instead of shitty horror movies.
|
Oh, upon skimming you will soon realize the budget. Zombie faces? Thin red water-like substance smeared on dark skinned faces and gritted teeth. So horrific >_> Theres enough "yo' cap dat azz niggah" within the 40 seconds I did watch to make you sick. Definate no buy, no rent, no encounter. Avoid at ALL costs. May be lethal :x
|
The worst horror movie i'v ever seen...was proably Killer Cartoons i think that was the name of it..i found it at some busted up movie store...the crew was all porn stars & they used really really cheep thrift store masks..
|
LMAO! :D I'm surprised "York Entertainment" hadn't picked that one up. :)
|
Shriek Of The Mutilated.

one of my favorite films.. |
The Village!
Was that even SUPPOSED to be a 'horror' movie?...I don't know what the hell that was... |
I liked The Village. Not so much for the huge letdown story, but the whole feel of the movie was great. I'd like to shake the directors hand (or atleast tell him... good fucking job or something....)
The Fog remake was one of the worst that IVE ever seen. Also Craven's Cursed made me want to rip my face off. |
3. House of the Dead
2. Boogeyman 1. FearDotCom Honorable Mention: Dark Water |
It HAS to be Killjoy 2.
|
The Last film i seen in Drive-in was The Incredible Melting, that fim sucked also and i really do miss drive-in those where the best 100% better than in door theater.

I think the worst horror movie ever is The Ring. I'm sorry, I know it's one of the best horror movies out there, but I really really hate it.
