then you get post daydream fantasy depression.

Forgive me and lets snap out of the ADD world. This thread was supposed to be about lead singers and somehow it just got off track.:D

John Lennon is one of our best (The Human race).

Sure John made mistakes with his wife and kids. But he was young and a musician.

No he didn't always write about peace and love  thats what he is best known for.

He wrote songs about society and being a human. Things we can all relate too ( unless your stupid)

Also, Puddle of Mudd sucks my ass. Fucking wanna be Kurt Cobain

babygirl20 03-21-2005 06:24 AM

Stevie Nicks:) There should have to be no explaining of why. SHe's just great!

Palmer 03-21-2005 04:35 PM

Randy Blythe of Lamb of God is by far the best front man to date.....I just went to see them, sounds just like there cd's unbelievable he can scream and still sound good.... most singers of his type break up and sound screechy......and the crazy fucker even got in the pit with us.......

The most senseless act of death brought upon a legendary and great singer was John Lennon. All he did was sing about peace and love and some stupid ass idiot had to take away what the world needed at the time and that was John Lennons words and songs. Pointless death. But he left behind much great music.

you should stop liking people they always die

Dr.Dre,Ice Cube,Eminem,Eazy-E,Jay-Z, and Snoop Dogg would be my favorite singers

Palmer 03-21-2005 04:46 PM

Dimebag daryl was shot this year on lennons death anniversery r.i.p. to both of them dime was such an influence to me a true metal master....

The STE 03-21-2005 07:54 PM

the lyrics thread and all that other stuff went there, no reason this shouldn't.

bloody_ribcut 03-21-2005 08:44 PM

It was a question, Jesus, just answer it or don't bother posting on it.

Many threads on here don't have to do with horror and I don't see nobody writing bitching posts about that.

babygirl20 03-23-2005 10:49 AM

On a lighter note  I like T.I. from the CD Trap Muzik :)

I think the best voice in modern rock today belongs to Chris Cornell.

8-Bit BlackMage 04-05-2005 03:37 PM

Black Francis of the Pixies makes my nipples tweak.

Cool voice, too.

like 10 years ago maybe. he kind of sucks now. i hate audioslave. i like old sound garden. one day i just woke up and i said, "wow, suddenly music sucks, what used to be good has declined". so i expanded, i started listening to rap. then the greats, and everyone tried to steal their sound. now everything sounds the same. you turn on the radio and we are in a new era of disco, all this top 40 emo pop (wahhhh my girlfriend left me) crap... even chris cornell doesn't carry the emotion he used to.

but somewhere underneath all the crap there are some good original singers. some good lyrics. some good musicians. they're just the ones you don't see on tv. or hear on the radio. they're the ones who don't need a suit to tell them how to dress, what to sing, who to date. the record industry is almost as corrupt as the american legal system.

oh yeah, singers. garm from ulver. hands down, the best musician of the century. if you doubt this we will have to have a battle to the death with maces. on an ice bridge. barefoot.
while people throw thumbtacks at us. and no matter who wins, garm will still be the best. the man is a musical genius. he went from straight black metal to improv ambient... and in everything his voice is amazing. the music is flawless and everything on his record label owns! check out www.jester.no listen to ulver or be the stereotypical american with no taste in music! bwahahahaha

(i,zombie would like to appologize to any short tempered stereotypical americans who really do like all that top 40 crap, but not to peoplle who like emo, I,zombie says "friends don't let ffriends listen to emo... and live". thank you, THAT IS ALL!)

haha. so someone is trying to listen to metal and it isn't working? i don't understand how that works. is that like when i lissten to emo and want to kill the population of the world ten times over and i envision the sun burning out but really i am just starring at a wall while my muscles twitch....

ummm so kitty, try listening to good metal.
i recomend anything on moonfog, candlelight, earache, anti-mosh.... ummmmm check out like good hardcore. old school 315 shit, that inspired people to do their new hardcore, metal, whatever. check out some grindcore. like relapse records is really good. century media is really good. check out "if hope dies" i went to school with those guys and they're real good.

His voice is unique. Too bad his lyrics suck...

The new Audioslave single 'Be yourself' makes me want to break something every time it comes on. (And not in a good, rockin' way either.)

"Just be yourself is all that you can do."

Kind of ironic that he's is preaching about maintaining individuality while singing one of the most generic fucking lyrics I've ever heard in my life.

i didn't take the time to read this entire
thread but i was wondering does anybody
listen or ever heard of drowning pool? the reason
for this is because i was wondering how did the lead
singer die? was it drugs, suicide or freak accident like a
car wreck?

I'm not sure, but I think it was natural cause. Heart attack or something.

I couldn't say for sure, but it could have been drugs, those guys liked to party hard as hell, I met them about six months before Dave Williams died and got stoned as hell with them on their bus in Charlotte NC...

No telling though, guess it will be one of life's little mysteries.

Hate_Breeder 04-09-2005 10:08 PM

He seriously drowned in a pool of vomit...no joke...at least that what i heard
