Wow! You got some issues if seemingly your whole existence is based on finding a forum for which you can communicate.

Dayum...find some friends. Or...do what I do, use a sock puppet.

Where did I ever say "whole existence". Stop wasting my time, my tax dollars, get a job, get off welfare, and use cash instead of food stamps.

Ummmm, you didn't say "whole existence." Hence the word, "seemingly!" You just came across as a fucking loser.

And I don't wanna continue wasting your precious time...so don't bother replying to this:

Well, I was able to find out the name of the movie. I went to Blockbuster, and had them pull up a list of movies that were rented under my account, since the store opened. Actually suprised they were able to do that.

Anyway, if memory serves me correct, the first time you post a message to a message board, it is considered your first message right? Nice try dickweed!

Title Help

I've been trying to find out the name of a movie I saw quite a while back (probably in the mid-80's I think) on television. Not sure if it was made for TV or was released on the big screen beforehand. I was very young when I saw it so I only remember tidbids but it was the first film that gave me nightmares so I want to find it again (however cheesy it might actually have been)!

Okay here's what I remember:

A group of people are staying in a mansion for a few nights - dont know why or where they came from - I think they were all strangers who were invited by one man. They meet at a huge table at various points I think - possibly for meals.

a number of different things happen to different people:

1. A chandelier falls and almost kills someone
2. A woman wakes to the voice of her dead child - follows it to a room with a coffin and sees her dead child sit up in the coffin and look at her.
3. A woman takes a shower which turns scauldingly hot and when she turns it off and wipes her face with a towel, there is blood all over it.
4. A man gets trapped in his room when a cage envelopes his bed and he cant get out
5. A man walks the hallways late at night, and while looking at a painting on the wall, sees a tear drop down from the eye of the portrait. When the man leaves, we see a body come out seemingly from within another painting.

Okay that's really all I remember - I know it has similarities in some respects to the Haunting of Hill House (or the Haunting), and the House on Haunted Hill, but it is neither of these (remake nor original).

If anyone knows what this movie might be I'd love to get ahold of it again! Please provide any ideas you have!!

Don't help him because that's propably the only reason he joined

Zoodles 11-28-2004 05:07 PM

Thanks Chainsaw Dude - you're a sweetie pie!

First of all - I dont know why you assume that I'm a guy - you would be incorrect.

Second of all - Ooh god forbid someone might actually post a question about a horror movie on a horror movie website forum - how silly of me to assume that I might be entitled to this information, being an 'outsider' and all.

Thirdly - ever think that I may actually be a horror movie fanatic, and plan to visit this site more frequently, but just happened upon it for the first time yesterday and took the opportunity to ask the question most pressing in my mind? No probably not - I'm sure all this thinking I'm asking you to do is hurting your head.

Try not to be such an ass - it's much more fun to be nice and hospitable - trust me.

As for Rake - thanks but I dont think it's The Nesting - I feel like I would have remembered a bunch of prostitute ghosts! :)

Dont take it to heart. We just get about 50-75 members a week who come here, ask that same question, then leave, never to be seen again.

The_Return 11-28-2004 05:11 PM

Oh, and by the way.....Your movie is a knockoff of House on Haunted Hill. No question.

I've seen this movie and I can't remember the name. *Racks brain*

Now I want to see it again.

bwind22 11-28-2004 08:01 PM

Maybe 10 Little Indians or Clue?

I haven't seen either of them for a while, so I'm not sure, but it might be worth a shot...

Yes, it certainly sounds like a House on Haunted Hill ripoff.

Angelakillsluts 11-28-2004 08:35 PM

....

I really want to know the name of it now.

Cheeba V2.0 11-29-2004 08:37 AM

title help..again

I've only the memory of this movie, which I saw sometime between the ages of 5 and 10.
It MAY have been dragonslayer, I suggest this only as I know that I've seen that one, even thuogh I can't remember it.

Anyway, "adventure" type film, a small group on a quest...I think it may have had SOMETHING to do with dragons, but that's just a general feeling I get.
I remember the group standing outside a cave that they needed to obtain something from...inside there was a large spider protecting whatever it was they wanted. I think the spider could somehow put people to sleep, and spoke in a female voice, but again, not 100%.

I know this is heaps vague, but I'd like to see this movie again sometime in my life, so if anyone knows the answer?
WHAT is this film?

MisterSadistro 11-29-2004 08:38 AM

I seem to remember 'Krull' as having a giant spider, but I could be wrong.
CK

Cheeba V2.0 11-29-2004 08:43 AM

that was "futuristic" though right?
This one wasn't - oldskool...knights n shit.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
While in this thread, just to save myself writing another, I saw yet another film I've been thinking about lately that I could use some help on. Made most likely in the 80's, I only remember the main character being human, and crash landing a space fighter of some kind on a rather desolate planet...a little like a desert. Uh, and there were big, fast roach type creatures, and he shot one of 'em with laser gun....
and - it wasn't start wars or the last starfighter... if anyone has any ideas on either of 'em, lemme know.

AND THE ENDING WAS HE FALLS THROUGH A WOODEN FENCE, DOWN A PIT AND WAS SPEARED THROUGH HIS BACK. HE WAS SUSPENDED IN MID AIR AND WAS SCREAMING. ..THANKS

Vodstok 12-01-2004 11:36 AM

Not sure. i will snoop IMDB. Oh yeah, and ithink your keyboard might be broken, everything is in caps.

filmmaker2 12-01-2004 11:45 AM

Name This Movie! 4 Experts Only!

This is a Spanish or Italian film from the late 60's/early 70's. I have no freaking idea what it's called, but I saw it on TV several times in the late 70's.

A guy makes a bet with some buddies that he can spend a night in that haunted castle down the road. Terrible things have happened there, and rumor has it that on this one night, once a year, all the ghosts return to this place to haunt it.

The front gate is covered with lots of iron spikes that figure prominently, and predictably, in the ending.

The guy breaks into the place, and soon finds it full of spirits who are reenacting the events of many years ago. Eventually, the guy begins interacting with the ghosts and BECOMES one of the characters in the reenactment.

As the sun is rising, he realizes that he has to get the hell out, and runs outside, only to be impaled on the iron spikes. His friends discover his impaled body seconds later. Oh, the irony! Oh, the pain! It's a depressing ending, but this is a horror film, after all.

Anyone know this flick?

- THAT part sounds like "Lady in Red", but...clearly this is not the film you are after...

bwind22 12-01-2004 04:44 PM

If you ever figure out the name, let me know so I can skip because you gave away the ending.
