WTF ? Not sure how my post for 'If you could do anything, what would it be ?' ended up here. I guess watch 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' and agree with his views on the crass commercialization of the holidays. Then get drunk on egg nog and go caroling to my neighbors' homes at 3am in my underwear.

We already have stuff in layaway! We try to spend around $300 on each kid, (3 of them) In addition we have a daughter who's b-day is 12/25. It really sucks for her. Everybody always gives her a gift and says, "this can be your x-mas and b-day present together" WTF she's 7, she sees everybody else getting presents at x-mas and their b-day. So we end up spending another $100-200 on her for her b-day.

Whew, I'm ranting

Get up and open gifts with my parents...we open 1 at a time. Usually we dont spend much money. Usually I just ask for money and we all just have small gifts to unwrap. That's probably what I'll do this year, too since I'm saving money to go to Hollywood.

We usually have Christmas with my mom's family on Christmas eve... or used to. We don't do much anymore on Christmas eve since my grandma died. Now alot of the family won't come around anymore. :o And when we do, everyone just rips their presents open, nobody gets to see what anybody else got, and there's paper all over the place.

My dad's family is completely different. They have Christmas at different times because some of us live in Kentucky and some in Ohio...so whenever everybody can get together is when we do it. Everyone opens their gifts one at a time with them.

I put up a tree with black balls, orange lights, and a Jack Skellington tree topper. I buy one present for each person in my family, sometimes 2. They all buy me presents as well. We all open them on Christmas Eve. Then Christmas day I sit around watching movies and eating cookies.
