Dead Bad Things 03-12-2016 09:57 AM

Been ruminatin' on this one some.....thinkin' on the index moments in my life that were bracketed with fear......

Dang Roiffalo! Sounds like you picked up some hippies thumbin' around....$200 stick? Wasn't Thai Stick was it? ::big grin::

I used ta hitchhike alot up and down the north coast of Oregon...
One time I was walkin' across this big long high bridge in the dead of night and had some cops roll up on me.... gumballs goin', guns pointin' at me, yellin' at me put yer hands up. That was pretty scary I tell ya what....

LOL! Oh, yes it did. Big time. My body was just moriphin' my body up for a lot of serious injuries. But, not exactly a highly repeatable way to get high. ::big grin::

I believe in the heat of the adrenaline-filled moment of an attack you would pull the gun.

And thank you too Bloofer. ::embarrassment:: I carry a knife too, it's a deer hunting knife my grandfather gave to me.

Regina George... Lol.

They say on average you walk by 11 unapprehend murderers in your life span... So just walking down the street is pretty scary.

I think the scariest thing that happened to me was probably the time a stick went through my upper lip.
Well then there was the time some speed demon in a mustang nearly made a pancake of me on the road.

In all seriousness. My scariest moment was when I was out shooting. I used to shoot at my grandfathers house all the time starting when I was around 8. When I has 16 I was shooting his Sig. We used to shoot at targets stacked around his wood pile. I fired a shot at a pumpkin and the bullet went through and caught the head of a nail on the other side of the pumpkin and ricocheted back. It slowed enough that I could actually see it coming back at me, but it was still way to fast for me to react. It hit the bone around my eye socket just to the right of my eye, maybe 1/4 of an inch. It lodged in there and my grandpa had to pry it out with a knife. I look back and think about how close I was to losing my eye and I get shivers.

Ridiculously small. I still have the dent in the bone where it lodged. It wasn't the whole slug, it must have broken apart when it hit. Regardless, scared the hell out of me. At the time I didn't think about it, but its exactly what A Christmas Story said would happen...
