How can 'Which one of you is the liar?' be the right question?

So one says yes and the other says no. That's great, but what door do you go through. Since you only get one question you can't ask...

I'm still trying to figure this one out. If it is 'Which one of you is the liar?' can someone please explain to me how this would help you decide which door to choose?

No. And No. Bwind is correct, knowing the truthful one wont tell you what one is the freedom one. You ONLY ASK ONE QUESTION (same question to both guards). Even if you learned who was the honest one, you can't ask him what way is the way to Freedom.

Besides, think about it: The lier will say that the truthful one is the lier. The truth full one will say that the lier is the lier. Duh. Do you wan't the answer?
