Not entirely on their own, I really like Koontz too, just prefer King.

Now King or Barker would be more difficult for me.

He has a new short that just got approved for publish called Drunken Fireworks. No clue what its about, but I would assume drunk people and fireworks...

still king for me, only time ive come close to finding someone i prefered was when i read the necroscope books by brian lumley, they were phenomenal.

That I can agree with, those were solid. No one really captures my attention like King. But Im a huge Clive Barker fan, Movie and book. Its a hard one for me.

It's probably about some guy who writes novels for a living, who gets run down by a car and ends up in a wheelchair battling his inner demons with booze.

I've not read Koontz yet--he's probably the biggest gap in my genre reading, one I'm frankly a little embarrassed about.

But King is my favorite writer by far, so this one was an easy choice for me.
