Crawler's Chaos Returns!

Creepy Crawler writes another witty overview critique, covering the British cult classic Psychomania (1971).

Check it out.

I have also edited my feature review Halloween II (1981): A Worthy Companion Piece to the Original or Not?, due to glaring grammatical errors and typos. It reads much better now!

To be fair I was up to about 3:30 in the morning doing it all; finishing the initial writing, proof reading and editing, and sorting out the lay out. I was struggling to get the article published in time for Halloween western time. So I think my tiredness was the reason for so many mistakes.

C.H.A Update Info: 13/12/10 -

I am at this moment writing a feature, entitled ‘George A. Romero’s Living Dead Series Retrospective – Part 1: Night of the Living Dead (1968)’.

Obviously its the first part of a retrospect of all six Romero zombie films. As well as this retrospective being ambitious in scope as a whole, so is each part, and I underestimated how long this first piece will take me to write. I was hoping to have it all done for yesterday, keeping to my discipline of publishing a new article by myself once a week. Hopefully it should all be done by the end of this week, if not it will be up on the site as soon as I’ve finished it all.

I’ll be taking a break from all things Romero zombies for Christmas, and reviewing a holiday themed slasher. After that will be part 2 of the retrospect with of course ‘Dawn of the Dead’ (1978), and then so on with the rest of the franchise. Next year I’m hoping to review more early horror, as so far since the site has been up about five and half months ago, I’ve only done a write up of The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958).

At some point next year I will start making many upgrades to Cinematic Horror Archive as it is now, before eventually moving out of WordPress as a blog, and making the transition into a full website with my own unique domain name.

Thanks very much for reading,

Dave J. Wilson

C.H.A Update Info: 19/12/10

Right then, I’m still hard at work on the first part of my Romero zombie retrospect, after getting a fair bit sidetracked this week, so unfortunately it won’t be published today. The good news is, is that I do see ‘George A. Romero’s Living Dead Series Retrospective – Part 1: Night of the Living Dead (1968)’ being up on the site sometime this week.

Creepy Crawler will be back soon, with hopefully a couple of his humorous overview critiques covering obscure rarities to bring to your attention.

I will definitely be publishing a review this Christmas of a holiday themed slasher as well.

Thanks for reading,

Dave J. Wilson
