My sister and I had two of them when we were pretty young...4 and 5 as I recall.
Some redbellies under the house got 'em.
Rats are a far more attentive, generally more interesting "pet" if you ask me, they tend to seek out human companionship far more.

rats are indeed far more people friendly...

but the little deer mouse i had became tame eventually

I'd listen to Cheeb's suggestion of getting a electronic mouse repellent. We used to have mouse problem now and then, and could NOT get rid of the little buggers to save our lives. We'd kill one or two, but no questions asked we'd still find little presents from 'em.

So we figured we'd give one of these things a shot...honest to God, have not seen hide nor hair of a rodent since the day we plugged it in. I live in a pretty decent sized house and just one of these things on ground floor has kept us entirely mouse free for around 2 years running...if you're in an apartment, I'd bet good money it would solve this issue for good.

I learned more about mice than I ever cared to know, did you know they can jump now? fucking christ. my boyfriend and I were watching "the third part of the night" (fortunato recommended it to me and we were enjoying it immensely until I saw like a shadowy thing scurry across the floor.

Mice always find a way to ruin a good movie. It's what they do.
And that is why I eat them.

Anyway, did you get to finish the movie?

no! :( I hate starting and stopping so I want to make sure there won't be any more unwanted interruptions. maybe after a full scale search tonight, I'm beginning to think there was never 2 and just the one because we haven't seen any sign of another one.
