There are tons and tons of different jobs - but, for now, the most important thing for you to do is come up with a bunch of "A" words that pertain to horror, and send them to the email that Flayed posted.

The, for this first letter, __V__, Flayed, Neverending, Despare and myself will go through all the suggestions and compile an encyclopedia entry from them. After the first letter is up, we'll be delegating different groups and committees to work on different parts of the project.

It's a HUGE, HUGE project Freak, and it's hard to get your head around the scope of it - hell, I'm on the admin committee for it, and I still don't fully understand everything. Once the first entry is posted and you get a good look at exactly what's going on, it'll all be clear. I promise :)

I can't remember if you gave me an answer when I asked, can the art be hand drawn then scanned? When it comes to good artwork I'm good with a pencil, bad with a mouse.

Yes, as long as the art can be made digital. Just keep in mind you may need to go over your art with a thin sharpie so it shows well when scanned. you could also do line art if you wanted and I could use my tablet to go over your lines and to color it if you're interested in working together on some pieces.

So for the artwork part, I'm sure if this is what you had in mind, but remember when you were a kid and you had these nursery letter that each stood for an animal? Like "A" was for Alligator and the Alligator's mouth was open to look like an "A" Maybe we could do something like that for each of the letter sections only it would be horror themed and not animal themed.

I just sent my "A" list btw, though I wasn't sure if it needed descriptions or not.

Got some good lists so far. Remember, it can be anything pertaining to horror. Games, books, arts, people, diseases, historical events. Let your mind run wild. If it's horrific, it deserves a suggestion.

As far as what we're doing for the first letter, right now you guys just need to send us lists of as many horrific things that you can think of that start with A.

Once the deadline hits, the 5 of us will set down and go through the list, combining things that can go together, taking out things that would be better covered under a different topic and making up the general standard of what it's going to be like as we go along.

Then we will request articles to be written for each subject by everyone, including sidebars, footnotes, special requests, etc. The header art will be requested within the next few days. Bits and pieces of smaller art will be requested throughout the process.

Once we are done, we will gather all of your material and compile it, pretty it up and present it back to you in a brand new thread. Hopefully, after we post the entire letter, we can have one of the mods sticky and lock it so everyone can see it, but no one can post to it until the next letter is ready to be added.

Then, starting with B, we will turn letters over to crews of 5 who can take on the job of gathering all the needed material, making requests and compiling themselves.

We are also using Library alphabetizing- soBoris Karloff goes under K, not B, for example.

Thanks, NE! I'm a bit scatterbrained right now, and I forgot to mention that.

Got that all? Pretty simple, and I'm not trying to insult anyones intelligence, but basically, if you want to see a certain person talked about, last name goes first.

For instance: Dario Argento would be listed under A, not D.

Also, certain English words do not count as a proper beginning, such as the.

So therefore, The Amityville Horror would still be listed under A, not T.
Or, to be more precise, it would appear as Amityville Horror, The.
