If you had made me one, I may have considered posting a more drawn out and pointless comment. But since you didn't take the time to include any of us here at HDC with a sandwich, I don't feel the need.

Dude, seriously....Learn to make something besides sandwiches....They get old fast....I've been cooking since I was 12.

I find pot noodles are good for a quick meal. Or a cold tin of beans eaten out of the tin. Neither need washing (Other than the fork) or much preparation.

No but seriously. Being on my own and having no food just turned awesome. I'm sure people have had this before, but I just invented it for myself, and it tastes amazing.

Toast 2 pieces of bread.
Melt 1 slice of cheese (cheddar)
Put a slice of honey turkey on the bread
(Also put butter on the toast)
2 pieces of bacon
Salt and pepper.

It's delicious beyond reason.

Okay, screw everyone who bashed this thread. that sandwich sounds awesome and any food related thread is good by me. I am currently making chili, which is equally awesome.

Additionally, at almost 10,000 posts, i think posher has earned the same right many of us "seniors" have for making completely useless posts.

i came up with this chili because my wife cant eat anything too spicy hot and cant stand the taste of anything too "tomatoey".

1 can beef stock (low sodium and fat free)
1 lb cube steak
1/2 lb ground beef (get the low fat stuff, 96% lean if possible)
a little bit fo lime juice (maybe a teaspoon)
1 can tomato sauce
1/2 cup onion
2 cloves garlic
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
cumin
black pepper
garlic salt
onion powder

roast the peppers, garlic, and onion, then puree them with some of the beef broth. add puree, tomato sauce and the rest of the stock into a pot and heat on medium

season the beef, both types with cumin, onion powder, garlic salt and pepper. add some of each to the liquid mixture. add the lime juice to the meat as it browns. chop the ground beef so it resembles taco bell meat, and chop the cube steak into small pieces once it is browned.

add the meat to the liquid and simmer on low-medium until it is reduced by half. then eat it.

add hot sauce if you want it spicy, but this is great for people who love chili but cant take heat.

Hey.

I was proud the first time I successfully made a hard-boiled egg by myself.

...

I was 22.

...except in his case, about 9000 of said posts consist of him already exercising that "right" :p

Pot Noodle really deserves its own thread, this is my favorite, I think I'm going to have one today....
