It's playing in my home town (Saint Louis) but I'm only going to be there from the 20th to the 25th if this month, and I'm not moving back until February:(
But I will be sure to tell my friends to check it out. I have one friend who practically see's everything at the Tivoli no matter what anyway.

it's a mixed bag, but some find it wonderfully over-the-top

yeah.....this kind of sold me on it

It’s true that “The Mother of Tears,” strictly as visual storytelling, suffers by comparison with the first and second Mother movies, or one of Mr. Argento’s better baroque thrillers, like “The Bird With the Crystal Plumage.” But it does something as well as, if not better than, anything in his oeuvre: it goes all the way. Giddy with gonzo, headlong abandon, the movie pushes further and further into unhinged camp dementia until it climaxes with an apocalyptic tableau that perfectly summarizes its visionary kitsch and delirious kick.

There’s a defiant late-period wooziness here, an infectious aura of play and pleasure and unembarrassed showmanship from an artist quite happy to amuse himself with scenes of nubile archaeologists being strangled by their own large intestines.

...and you know I'm always right :D

I had read a bunch of reviews panning it and wasn't expecting much but it's top notch stuff apart from the weak ending I mentioned in my earlier post (but Suspiria suffered from the same problem IMO). I'd recommend Sleepless over it if you haven't seen it already.

Saw it in the theater last night.

WOW!

Fucking CRAZY film that had a few really annoying elements, but still has me in it's thrall the next morning. And I keep laughing when I think about the film.

My review is in the "Last Seen Movie" thread in the Modern Horror forum

I've been looking forward to seeing this concluding chapter to Dario Argento's Three Mothers trilogy ever since I first heard about it awhile ago and it didn't disappoint. Its a lot different then his previous movies,Suspiria and Inferno so some people may not like it.There are some nice kills in it and some pretty nice gore. There was even a scene with a mother and her baby that actually surprised me.It was entertaining and I'm glad I have it as part of my collection.

I'll buy the DVD when it comes out, though.

You'd best pay more attention, my friend:

So I read Rod's first post without paying attention to the thread date, which of COURSE lead me to start looking at Kendall Square Cinema's movie list and movie times to start planning my trip out to support it.

Then I got all irritated because it wasn't there and I was about to rant and rave about how either theaters don't support the little guy or Rod was retarded...

...

And then I realized this was originally posted in June and it was I who was the retarded one...

...

I blame you, Blackheart. :p
