If there is a certain topic you feel strong about, do it on that topic. Then you get to research a topic you like anyway and get to learn more about it. Plus you'll probably feel more passionate about it and it will be easier to write at least 2000 words about it.

death penalty
marijuana decriminalization
abortion
Iran conflict
affirmative action
global warming
euthenasia
gun control
our screwed up political system or any specific aspect of it
drinking & driving
eating disorders
Bruce Lee vs. An Angry Chimp
alternative energy sources

Any of those should be able to garner 2000 words in no time, but then again I could write 2000 words about thwe back of my hand or as STE suggested a sneeze. Just be descriptive.

I know right?

The far back reaches of my hand has very small cells that seem to resemble and or relate to similar parts of other areas and cells on the rest of my body such as.....Etc....

Good god, I could be here all night!

Do a paper on Fungi, Fungus mushrooms , the entire family. they are realy interesting

The Flayed One 09-22-2006 05:49 AM

Well, I'd say you could do the definitive study on the swelling of Flayed's liver in direct proportion to the bottle of crappy whiskey I chugged last night. However, I'm not so sure I'd appreciate all of the probing you'd have to do to get the desired results.

what about a paper on the phenomenon of approaching a bunch of strangers on a message board for ideas for your paper ?

the feedback - the negative/ the positive ...

how did it make you feel ?
how does this reflect society in general ?
what bearing does it have on the price of tea in china ?

That is actually a good idea. Hell, it could be a case study for college.

communicating on the internet has an interesting effect on how people behave.

I'd wholeheartedly agree with that, there are people here from all walks of life, who, to begin with, had only one common interest, a love of the horror genre

Now the question is: If, before HDC, you had put these same people in a room together, would they have become the community they are now? I doubt it, why? Because we are all from different backgrounds and as human beings we tend to stick to what we know rather than branch out into the unknown

The internet gives us anonymity, it ceases to be about age, sex, race, colour, profession, etc. The internet is a meeting of minds, not of faces, here we judge with our interlect not with our eyes

The asking complete strangers for idea's on a message board is pretty intresting, but I think I found a winner
