If I were a fairy godmother I would start with crackers. I would turn a cracker into a pumpkin and the pumpkin into a coach.

It's funny because "cracker" is also a racial slur for white people, and I don't understand why. But this isn't the place for that.

I know these are horribly bad for your teeth, but skittles, startburst, gummy bears, and other chewy fruity chewy candies are wonderful for late night readings. I love to have them and a sprite while I'm up late and, as I said, reading.

Does anyone remember Now n' Laters? They were those chewy candies that could pull adult teeth right out of your skull? They were great.

Candy is a horrible snack, but sometimes, you just have to.

ooh and nerds...

Healthy Heather does recognize that baby carrots are better and sweeter.

Yeah, pumpkin seeds are all good, sunflower seeds too...

I like dried banana chips, they have a great chilli flavoured one too. A good spicy bhuja mix is the shit, vietnamese ricepaper wraps, yup, goood.

FRESH hummos with FRESH toasted pita bread, ohhhhhh uhhhhh....

There was this place once, I am in another city now, but this place used to be down the street from me. And they would puree their hummos until it was extra-smooth and creamy with the tahini and the diced parsley on top, and oh my GOD, I never had it better since, all other places have paled in comparison, this was the shit, I'm telling youuuuUUUUU!

They're pretty good, very refreshing.
Get yourself some ricepaper wraps, they go around it...you need to soak them in water to make them malleable.
You'll also need vermicelli, which you should pre-boil.
There's a lot of different recipes for these things, but as I know them, or how I would make them is
Lay out your wet ricepaper, about a third of the way up stack your ingredients neatly.
1/3 of the overall filling should be the vermicelli, not more.
Julienned or shaved carrots, finely sliced red chilli, finely sliced spring onion, VERY finely julienned ginger, bean sprouts, spearmint or vietnamese mint leaves, Cooked & shelled prawns (your choice how many per wrap), crushed peanuts.

Wrap it up, seal with water, serve cold, with satay sauce, or a mixture of lemon juice, soy sauce, peanut oil, chilli, garlic, lime zest.

Theres hundereds of variations online, look it up if in doubt.

FM2, agread on the hummos...however the fuck you spell it, it's the shit.

Ah, now I understand, and that does sound really good to have on a hot day. Very refreshing, as you say. I might substitute the onions with cucumbers. I loooove cucumbers. Prawns = shrimp?

Hummus is good, especially when the Mediterranean cook likes to experiment using curry or chili or any manner of spice blends to tantalize the palate.
