One thing I liked about the extended version was that little emblem that showed up in the corner of the "new" scenes.

Well...

I have to admit I'am a bit of a features whore. I love being able to watch a movie & then see where it differs from the director's "vision". Its nice to see the what if from what Hollywood wants us to see. Mind you the dvds are worth the money for the picture alone. Those of us who suffered through VHS. Oh the horror, the horror.

aliens 3 director's cut is so better than the theatrical cut its not funny.

Chaos17 11-13-2005 11:30 AM

are any of the films of aliens in the sci-fi hall of fame?

Chaos17 11-13-2005 01:31 PM

question as i have only seen alien 4 i am looking forward to the box set.

as i will see the extended edition/directors cut.

does that have better special effect with better graphics? or are they the same?

btw the extended edition is the same as the directors cut right? just with a diffrent name?

The_Return is right on the grammer, ect...

But I'm surprised that you like the Alien series as much as you claim b/c Resurrection is the worst in the series. The plot for that one was horrible.

To answer your question about the director's cut, no it does not have improved effects. But it does have deleted scenes as everyone has been saying all over this thread. In some cases the scenes add more to the story and show you what the director wanted everyone to see originaly. None of the Alien movies have different names, original or director's cut.
