Like him or not ... Peter JAckson has cinematically put NZ on the map ... isnt the NArnia series getting made there next ?

of course it might not be a horror convention ... you'll get a 'Middle Earth' convention with a bunch of earth muffin little people running around everywhere ... getting drunk, screwing in the streets, scaring the children ..

Man I'm SOOOOO sick to death about hearing about Peter Jackson and Lord Of The Rings over here :o Hopefully if they do get something like this over here it won't be dominated with Jackson and LOTR. There was enough extras in LOTR from NZ that a convention like that would be really sad. "Here's Wayne he was Orc Extra Number 99999999999999999999". There's not much of a scene for horror in NZ but I'm sure I'd be suprised who'd pop out of the wordwork for something like this. Once I get out of debt (student loans :( )I think I'll try to start organising events like this and screen prints of really bizzare b/trash movies..... there'd be quite a few people who'd get into it in Dunedin.

thing is .. with all the exposure of the lush landscapes shown in LOTR, NZ will probably get a tourism boom .. which isnt such a bad thing .. and it might entice stars to come and participate if there is ever such a film festival ..

Yeh they have cheesey LOTR tours and shit over here. A lot of celebrities have been comming here for years and have properties over here. I guess it'd be a great place to get away from it all. NZ's quite a beautiful place really.... I should go explore more of it.

I got so much money saved up for this trip its awsome!!!! I cant wait.
