I wanted to make this review short and sweet, but it's hard to stop writing, even when excluding facts that could potentially contaminate an exceptionally well thought-out gaming experience. There's just so much to say. Half-Life 2 is, simply put, the best single-player shooter ever released for the PC. It does so many things right in so many ways that it might be possible to write a thesis on the topic of Half-Life 2 compared to other single player shooters. What Valve has created is simply a masterpiece -- a work of art in the genre.

Well.... Im home... And the Steam network is down, so i cant fucking play......


If i cant play tonight, i am going to hit valve up for a full fucking refund... this is sSUCH bullshit....

I read the install (retail disk version)needs to contact the steam network... guess it's anti piracy stuff.


no doubt the servers will be hammerd for the next few days, and since Valve always fail to comprehend, the amount of network usage that will be used at such a major time... it just goes to show they dont do things properly and get their networks upto scratch... look at what happens every major steam update, no one can connect for hours because steam's gone tits up.
